If you can spend the money, I suggest at least upgrading to Business. However, Home's pretty decent in and of itself - the only issue is that WLMM is the only movie maker that ships with it. movies.blainesville.com/p/wmm-60-on-windows-7.htmlThat's the installer for WMM 6.0, it works for Vista and 7. I like it a lot better than 2.x, although it requires jumping through a couple hoops to get effects, the effects you can get with it have a pretty wide variety. And the crop effects? Work sooooo much better than the ones for 2.x

Thanks pal. I'm thinking about making an Otherborn video for Riku using ether Tank! or The Real Folk Blues.

For Valentines Day what about an 80s Pop entry? What about "Somebody's Knocking" by Terry Gibbs. The lyrics fit "Somebody's knockin, should I let him in. Lord, its the devil, would you look at him. I heard about him but I never dreamed, he'd have blue eyes and blue jeans..." LOL

Also, considering we have some great artists (I am not one of them) and that all of us are creative people, I would like to humbly suggest we have a slideshow (static images, not video) contest as a possible future competition. Make 2 categories: Original art for those who do art, and Collage, a collection of found images appropriate to our characters/stories. I would love to see what our members could put together. And lets NOT attach it to a major holiday. Give everyone 2 - 3 months to create entries. Just a suggestion.

Hmmm.
Well, when Christmas and V-day are done, let's see what everyone thinks! (Personally, I suck at slideshow MVs, but I could give it a try.)
Edit: Well, I guess I know what Nami-chan thinks! XD

I was hoping it wouldn't have to be a real MV. Was planning on using Powerpoint to do one - of acquired art, since I don't draw. It would be a way for those of us who Don't have AMV capabilities (either via computer, or because we don't have the skills) to participate in something.

*frowns* well... Would it have to be done in power point? b/c I don't have that thanks to Microsoft being a biotch. Could I use WMM, but with no sound then?

Well, we could have a powerpoint section and an MV section.
To me, doing it in powerpoint would be more a 'show off your art' thing than an editing thing is all. Because if you don't have music it's just 'look at all the pretty pictures'. Not shooting down the idea, just pointing out my view.
