Ghost Rider pulled the chains taunt, though still felt uneasy.
"Talk demon. Why the Otherborn girl. What do you want with her?[/b]" Ghost Rider added, "Do it now while you still have a mouth..."

"I'm sure you know the the outline. Her parents and I made a deal. I knew they didn't want an Otherborn child, and I wanted her. So I paid them a visit and we set a deal: If they kept Shiki naive and vulnerable, I assured them they would have no contact with our side of the family. As long as they kept her from the outside world until she turned thirteen, I'd leave them be."
He chuckled, "They agreed so fast, I didn't have time to warn them of the consequences until after..."

"So you swindled them..." he growled, clenching his fists "You took their fears of having an Otherborn child and played them like complete and utter fools for your own gain, that's..." he trailed off as he growled to himself, turning to an unfinished car he placed his hands on the bonnet "That's the sort of thing Izaya would do!" he roared as he placed his hands under the car and flipped it over before turning back to the demon "The consequences..." he rumbled "Tell us the damn consequences!"
Shizuo was losing his cool big time, and he knew it. He took a moment to compose himself, taking deep breaths he placed a hand to his forehead and remembered Kasuka, how ashamed his cousin would be of him right now, how near he had come to killing him once... "I'm the one in control of this body..." he whispered to himself.

Sin shrugged, "If Shiki were to see the world on her own, then I could take her before she was thirteen. And if I was angry enough...I'd send her for a visit once she'd finally accepted what I wanted her too."
"But those of you who have heard the story know that she ran away a week before she turned thirteen. The poor child couldn't take it anymore. And when I found out...I sent a Crossing on her to test her. She proved to be perfect for what I needed."

Shizuo sighed and turned to face Sin, his whole mannerism had changed now. He was acting professional and trying to wean as many answers from the tied up demon in front of him without losing his cool. But this guy was a demon, they usually treat Halfers such as himself as they would the dirt on the ground, and Shizuo sure as hell knew it. "What is it you wanted her for...? Why is she perfect for what you want?"

"That's low. But then again you are a demon so I shouldn't be suprised." Riku spat. "You don't know how much I want to behead you right now but I think what Sora has in mind is more than enough."

Sin continued on, "I needed someone to be on our side. There have been halfers in our family, way back before her. Otherborn too. Their parents were smart and hid them from us. By the time we found out, they would've seen too much of Earth. Shiki's parents were foolish, thinking their daughter would be normal and it was easy to find her. If she stayed unknown to the world and too herself, raising her on our side would be easy."
Was he getting under their skin? It seemed like it.

Ghost Rider seemed unimpressed by Sin, Sora was angry, but the Rider had a very calm anger that was dangerous.
"Your game is over Sin, you're done."
He was about to take his sword and stab the demon when the freakiest thing happened...Riku's sword began to shimmer in and out of reality oddly, it was there, but it was weird. Sora could see something was wrong with the Veil too, and this distraction caused him to loosen the chain slightly...

With that fault, Sin broke free from the chain, jumping back from them. "Seems that I must go now. It's been a pleasure meeting you all. Especially you, Ghost Rider. Give my niece a message for me. Tell her that," he grinned, "gold eyes are always watching."
He wondered how she'd react to that after all these years. Too bad he wouldn't see it. With one last laugh Sin erupted into black flames and disappeared.

Ghost Rider raised his gun and fired, only to hit empty air. The Crossing faded out and Ghost Rider became Sora Shimomura again. He walked to the spot where Sin vanished and yelled out, kicking a box of tools.
"Damnit!"

"Come back here you coward!" Riku shouted. He smacked the floor with his fist causing blood to run down his knuckle. " I can't believe he got away." Tears began to flow from his eyes. "I'm sorry I failed you Sora. I tried my best pal, I hope you can forgive me."

Sora shook his head, "It's not your fault, you weren't the one who loosened the chain...damnit...he's gonna go underground, who the hell knows how long it'll take to find him."
He turned his back on them and sighed, rubbing his eyes. "Damnit..."

Shizuo was grumbling something about how rare it is for a demon to escape him and how he'll hunt Sin down and then make him pay, send him back to the Otherworld where he belongs. It was only after his mutterings that he turned back to the others "Yeah, what's next? I don't want this ugly thing getting too far away from us, it'd be a disgrace to have two demons escape from me..." he plunged his hands in his pockets and leaned back against the wall. His tall posture towering over the other two.

"I'm not sure..." Sora said, "He'll go underground, won't surface is ugly head...but what we can do is make sure when he pops his head up we'll be there with a truck of dirt and shovels to bury him back in."
