deciding he could take this alone he approached the infamous info broker's front door. "T"This isn't going to be easy but sometimes it pays to have an ace up your sleeve or in this case, darkness on your side." He range the front door bell and waited.

"Come in," a voice called before the bell even rang. Sometimes? It paid to put on a show.

Riku walked inside noting the chess board as if the game was in-progress. "It occurs to me that you know a lot about what goes on here and what their connections are. There was a creature that attacked Noctis and me. Nearly killed me too with it's venom that would have paralyzed my body not it not been for him and it seems you are one people go to when they want information that's normally unobtainable. What I want to know is if you know anything about it." Riku said to Izaya.

He smiled.
"You're pretty demanding, for a teenaged kid," he said, gazing up at Riku from under his eyelids, flashing his eyes red for a brief second. "But I suppose I have the information you're looking for. The question is..."
He leaned back, setting his feet on his desk, claiming his territory.
"...are you willing to pay the price for it?"

"Name it." Riku wasn't happy about what he was probably going to have to do but his well being was a small price to pay to help others.

"A dangerous thing to promise," he said. "I'm sure that your new friends have informed you of what rumor claims I am?"

"Yes, that your a demon. I'm well aware, also I know you don't deal in Cliches. I do my homework." Riku said not intimidated in the least by the broker.

He smiled. "I suppose you talked to the lovely Miss Misaki, then? Or perhaps one of my other less... normal clients." He shifted slightly; he wasn't comfortable sitting completely still. The shadows in the room shifted as well. "If you were with Noct-san when you were attacked, then it is likely that he also told you the origins of the creatures who attacked you. I can only wonder why you're wasting both our time with questions to which you already know the answer, then... unless there's another reason you came?"
His tone was smug, cool, calculating. To him, it mattered little whether Riku was intimidated; he was simply interested in how far he could push the young Otherborn, and what would happen when his powerplays began to show their effects. Would the silver-haired boy become afraid? Or would he become angry? He was curious as to which way this particular cookie would crumble, to use the human expression.

Riku smiled, Izaya had seen through him. "I see why you are so revered. Yes there was another reason why I came, I assume you heard of Sora Shimomura?"

Izaya's figurative ears perked up at that.
"The fabled Ghost Rider.... yes, I have. Why? Acquaintance of yours? I hope I haven't given away any secrets. After all - I haven't heard an offer of payment yet." The shadows in the corners seemed to grow larger.

"I want to know why he became The Ghost Rider and what he did to deserve such a curse. As for payment..." Riku trailed off. "My assitance in whatever you need for up to ten times. Sound fair?"

He laughed.
"The Ghost Rider? Shouldn't you be asking your friend that question?" He raised his hands in that careless shrug of his. "Besides, I'm interested in knowing just what kind of 'assistance' you can offer. What can you do, Riku Nomura? What is your ability?"
He smiled.
"You know... I might give you the information you desire... if you gave me the same information about yourself. The rumors all contradict, you see, and I can't seem to find a single reliable fact about that night... the night that Riku Nomura's parents died, and a young boy sold his soul to the darkness.... Tell me, Riku. What was it like? I've never had a soul... how did it feel when yours died? No wonder you are so willing to pay any price. After all... you have done this before...."
He started laughing, a mocking laugh, and his eyes glowed red as the room bathed itself in shadow.

"My power...is being able to control the darkness and bend it to my will. As for my soul, when I gave it up I felt alien, like I didn't know myself anymore. It's why I dedacate myself to use my powers to help even if I must rid myself of what humanity I have left to the darkness." As if to prove his point, Riku absorbed the shadows around the room and called Way To Dawn to his hand. "That's how I feel and what I can do. Do we have a deal?"

"Just as I had heard... truly, utterly soulless. It's amazing that you're even still walking around...." Izaya sighed, stood.
"However, you haven't truly fulfilled your part of the bargain. The Ghost Rider is the Devil's tool - well, that's what you humans call him, anyway - and the Devil and I don't really get along. THis information is incredibly expensive, so I will have the full story, or the deal is off. As for those shadows you just stole from me..."
Izaya snapped his fingers, and darkness outpoured from Riku.
"...I'll be having them back, now, whelp."

Riku felt the shadows leave him, making him gasp for air. After gaining his bearings he stood up. "Here's my number." Riku gave Izaya his cell number and proceded to walk out.
