I laughed. Manga? Yeah, that was a good way to describe us.
Head_Phones: Sounds par for the course for us. Dark's a bit on the odd side, but there's a guy living here who tosses vending machines around on a regular basis. IF you meet a blonde guy in a bartender suit, don't piss him off.
I paused again.
Head_Phones: There's a couple other people you should be worried about, too. If a young man with black hair and a fur-lined hoodie's around, don't sign any contracts. And the lady who owns Veil, Tifa, is wayyyy nice, but get on her bad side and she's worse than Shizuo.

Sairen: Coincidentally, the chat room I was in earlier was talking about a guy throwing vending machines all over the place...

Sairen: Yeah I've got a few more... Another one I had I guess is who runs this Network..? I mean, surely you can't go by without structure right? That'd be like an architect making a building with no solid base... It'd just fall apart...

Head_Phones: Nah, the Head's around. I know a buncha people who've met him, but like Dark said, he likes to keep his identity secret.
Head_Phones: Head of the Network's not really a glorious job. The Network isn't just in Urbadelphia - it's a country-wide operation, and every district Head reports to this guy. No wonder he wants to keep his position need-to-know!

Head_Phones: @dark: Oh, yeah, almost forgot.
Head_Phones: @sairen: The Codes Dark mentioned are basically the way the Network keeps track of important crap. There's three levels, and each one is more important than the last.
Head_Phones: GAMMA: There's an official mission. Participation is optional. Hunt down a demon, get some info, jump across the Veil to rescue a Camp... that kinda thing. Not too bad. Anyone can set up a Gamma, just need a Coordinator to plan things and a Contact to... well... contact people.
Head_Phones: BETA: We just got finished with one of thiese. Big nasty demon threatens a city, the Network's called in to take it out. Could be the government, too, but nobody's used that kind in... well, ever, really. You have to go to the meetings, but actual participation is optional. Only a certified Watcher, usually the district Head, can do this.
Head_Phones: ALPHA: This code literally means the world could end any minute. We're talking massive, large-scale invasion, or someone's getting ready to out the Network. This is the only code that could potentically mean outing the Network. Only the real Head can call one of these, and you'd better believe participation is mandatory.

I laughed aloud for a minute, sitting slowly back in my chair, grinning from ear to ear. I stretched casually, then sat back at my coputer, teh words coming off my fingertips like lightning.
Head_Phones: Tomorrow, go to the club called "Veil". Behind the bar should be at least one of the following: a tall redhead who uses too much hair gel, a black-haired man wearing the same color, or a tall woman with hair that reaches her waist. Tell any of them that you need into the back room and that Neku sent you; I'll meet you around 1 to talk about your duties, if you want them.
