Hello everyone; this is Neku here, so listen up, alright?
We're implementing a new policy around here; I know, I know, we're barely off the ground, but some additional issues have come to my attention, so here's the new rules.
We've got some pretty strict rules on here for character creation. You must be based on a canon, you can only have three characters, and your character can't be based on the same character as somebody else's; all of these are reasonable requests, but they're a little bit restrictive for a wide world - 'specially since we can't all be main characters.
Some of us stay in the background, stick to the side. We're only in this because our family members, or best friends, or gang members or bosses or employees or whatever are all stuck in this mess.
Some of us are secondary characters. NPCs. Maybe even DNPCs.
So, because of that, we're allowing you to create these secondary characters, and for these secondaries, we're lifting a couple of restrictions.
Rules exceptions for secondary/NPC characters:
1. NPCs do not count towards your total character limit.
2. NPCs may be original characters, or extremely loosely based on canon characters.
3. NPCs do not count towards claimed characters - thus, NPCs may be based on characters already claimed.
However.
Due to their special nature, NPCs have their own rules and regulations.
Special NPC/Secondary character restrictions:
1. NPCs must be attached to a main account. These aren't characters in their own right; somehow, they're connected to other characters - that's what makes them NPC/secondary.
2. Each main account can only have a total oftwo three NPCs. Thus, a single player can have up to six fifteen NPCs. This does not, however, mean you should have fifteen NPCs. It just means you can. Don't go overboard.
3. Secondaries/NPCs must have a unique name. This is because an NPC can be a duplicate of an already-existing character. If a character is claimed, and there is an NPC who is using the desired name, the NPC's name must change to accommodate the main.
4. NPCs must follow all rules for regular characters that are not listed under the special exceptions section.
5. THis means that NPCs must be registered and accepted, just like regular characters.
6. NPCs should share an account with their attached character. This does not mean that all accounts shared between characters are for NPCs; it does, however, mean that all NPCs must be shared. Each individual player may have only a maximum of three separate accounts.
You all should know, there's several ways for us to make sure you're the same person. Don't think that just changing your email to sneak in six billion characters will work. I've got some pretty tech-savvy kids in the Watchers. You've been warned.
This being said - please specify in your character's application whether they are a main or an NPC. Any NPC not attached to a main or having a separate account will be counted as a main.
Those of you in the middle of applying with more than one character on a single account - you must now make a choice. Keep both characters as mains, or change one or two of them to NPCs.
Happy demon-hunting, friends.
