I growl. He was completely correct. About me not being able to surpass him. Honestly, I couldn't tell if he was trying to pick a fight or not... I couldn't handle it, I know. I begin laughing. Hard. Uncontrollably. And... then I stop. "You're serious, aren't you, Sephiroth? You... are actually asking that I help you?" I sigh. This was my best friend, here. Part of me wanted to accept, but another was screaming not to. "And what will become of me, in the end, old friend? Am I a tool, to be disposed of once I am broken? Without a though to fix it? What role would I have, in this new play you are writing?"

I sigh. Hero... The word that once defined my goal... "Sephiroth... I'd come not to trust you in the past few years. Hollander told me that you are the bane of my existence... But this could be my only chance, for the Goddess to appear for me... Perhaps she needs a God, not a monster..." I sigh, and stare into the former Hero's eyes intensely. "I accept. Just don't expect any bowing or anything like that. You'll have to prove that you're worth that much to me... Sephiroth."
