"I've been doing fine. The night's been great. Expecting an old friend to drop by, unfortunately I think he missed out on Lea's singing." A little laugh came up and faded away from me. "If you see a guy with blueish green hair, that'd be him."
Then Noctis decided to bring up Izaya. I looked away from him and answered honestly. "Only a few, nothing major though. I'm free of him though in a few weeks." I knew I should have smiled at the thought but I couldn't find myself doing such.
Then the door opened wide and a familiar face entered. Dear old Zephyr. It's been a while. He walked into the middle of the room and looked around. He still looked as confident as ever. I waved him over and he sat down in the chair across from me. "Aya, long time no see!" He said with a smirk and looked at Noctis. "This your boyfriend?"
I shook my head and looked over towards Lea. "He is."
Zephyr looked him over and back at me. "Nice catch... One minute." He got up and went to talk with Lea. This isn't gonna be good. I'm sure my face reflected that thought.

Lea was just dropping off the stage, the applause over with and his flush finally evening bac into his normal skin tones, when he saw a guy who'd been talking ot Aya suddenly start his direction with a very purposeful look.
Oh dear god...

Zephyr walked up to Lea and crossed his arms. "So, you're Aya's boyfriend eh? I'm Zephyr, her old employer. Pleased to meet you" He held his hand out to Lea. He seemed like he was going to be civil enough.
I turned towards Noctis. "I guess it isn't going as bad as I thought it would, I thought he'd get overprotective or something like that." Zephyr did have that kind of history. He got close to the people he worked with and well, mess with his workers, you mess with him.

Lea coughed.
"B-boyfri... we dated, like, once! Maybe twice... and y'know... she does come to see me alot... but... I never... y'know... she called me her boyfriend?!"
He looked helpless, shocked, and love-struck. He threw a glance over Zephyr's shoulder at where Aya sat before gulping.
"Um... you're not going to judo-throw me if I take that hand, are you?" he asked, seemingly at a loss for anthing else to say.

Zephyr laughed a bit. "Yeah, I suppose she did. Did she get the wrong idea?" He moved in the way that was very familiar to me. He was making himself seem intimidating, at least trying. It seemed like it was working though. Oh poor Lea. I placed my hand over my face. This wasn't going to be well.
Zephyr laughed at Lea's comment about judo-throwing him. "I'll only hurt you if you give me reason to." His smirk widening. "Don't do anything to hurt Aya or myself, there is no reason to hurt you. Although, I don't hurt people physically." He laughed to himself. "So Lea, why don't you tell me about yourself?"

"Uh...!"
His brain was still scattered to the four winds, to be honest. He had no clue what to say.
"N-no, she didn't, I mean, unless... she wants to think she did, I mean... I hadn't asked her yet, but..." He ran one hand nervously through his red hair.
On to the subject of him! Not that it was... really any safer. He was a big, tough Halfer - this guy shouldn't be able to intimidate him like this....
"Uhm. I, uh. I work here? And I want to murder my best friend for making me get up onstage and sing. And, ah, I..."
Oh god, make this ennddd!!

Noctis watched what was going on from the booth where he was sitting with Aya, he had nothing against Lea but he still found this incredibly humorous. "Does he normally do this?" Noctis asked before he laughed quietly. He didn't think that he had ever seen Lea in a more awkward situation.

Zephyr nodded and payed close attention for any movement that might show a lie. "Just a bartender?" Honestly, Zephyr didn't have any issue with what Lea did for a living, if anything he was glad that Lea had a safe, secure job. So I was wondering why he would push it. Ugh, watching this was getting painful.
Noctis' remark pulled me back from watching them. "He only acts like this when he's flustered, but I haven't seen him this bad before."I laughed a little before deciding to end this painful moment. "Zephyr, leave him alone. He's a great guy, I swear!"
Zephyr looked Lea up and down again before speaking and gesturing to the table. "Shall we?"

"Um, yeah," he replied, still flustered. He took a seat next to Aya and waved Zephyr to sit as well.

I mouthed "I'm sorry" I looked up at Zephyr and shot him a glare. His response? Just a simple smirk. He was always like this. "Zephyr, that was really unnecessary."
Zephyr leaned back in the chair he sat down in and spoke. "If he's your boyfriend, I think he should get warning that I'm protective of you, is that so bad?"
I was quiet. Crap, I did say he was my boyfriend didn't I? I ran my fingers through my hair and changed the subject. "Anyways, Lea, you're a pretty good singer."

He blushed to a shade that was close enough to his hair color to be alarmin. "A-ah, uhm, I guess, not really, I mean... um..." He felt like digging himself a hole and never coming out of it, but that wouldn't really be fair to Aya. "........thanks. I guess."

"Well then, are you guys always so awkward?" Zephyr inquired. I shrugged, I'd be lying if I said no, we are fairly awkward sadly. I rolled my eyes and rested my head on my hand.
"It's hardly your concern Zephyr." Moving the conversation away, I looked towards Noctis. "How's work been?"

Noctis had simply stayed quiet when Lea and Zephyr had returned to the table, content to watch the other performances that had ranged from good to downright horrible. However he looked back to the rest of the group when Zephyr commented on how awkward their little group was. Admittedly he had never noticed before but their group was rather awkward. Considering how flustered Lea seemed to get as well as his and Aya's naturally introverted nature it was somewhat hard not to be awkward. So Noctis merely shrugged in answer to Zephyr's quip before replying to Aya. "It's been alright. Well, unless you count the rowdy drunks and Lea's antics." He said with a small chuckle, recalling incidents from the past few months he'd been working at the Veil.
