A familiar dark man stood in the doorway of Dante's still-unnamed shop, the traditional smirk adorning his face. He allowed himself in, then sat down to wait for attendance, glancing around the room with bored disinterest as he waited, one long-fingered hand tapping an odd rhythm on the chair's arm.

Well, well. It's Izaya. I started to walk down the steps and stretched. Having only just woke up, I was pretty stiff but either way I made it to my chair behind the desk and looked at Izaya.
"Heyo. What's up?" I began to think of what he was going to say about the Sin job. I didn't exactly manage to kill him... Tough bugger. "Should I go grab Verg?"

"You might wish to," he said, looking at Dante out of the corner of his eye. "You managed well on your first job for me, but this one... this shall be a horse of an altogether different color." He shifted, crossing his legs and steepling his fingers - easily taking subtle, subconscious control of the situation. "I've come with a request. This time, you cannot fail to destroy the target."

I shrugged and looked up the stairs. "Vergil will be down soon, he doesn't usually sleep in late."
Turning my attention back to the black haired man in front of me, I began to run some questions through my head. "Ok, whose the target? Where can I find them? You know the drill." I could tell already this was going to be a tough job.

It didn't take Vergil long to come down, cleaning his hands after working on maintaining the various weapons stored within the shop. He spotted Dante first, but as the desk came within sight he immediately narrowed his eyes. It was obvious that Izaya's tendency to make rather silent appearances did not sit well with the half devil. "What is it you want?" He asked with a calm and level tone of voice, his expression neutral except for his slightly narrowed eyes.

I cleared my throat and leaned back. "He has yet another job for us." Turning back to the demon, I said "Anyways, again where can we find this target? Who is it? Blah blah blah." Talk never did intrigue me, I'd rather get down to business.

He smirked. "Have you heard of a demon known as 'Ifrit'?" he asked, completely relaxed. "Word is that he's in town, looking for someone, and he's working with a rather crazy human scientist known for his 'experimentation' on Otherborn and with psychic powers."

Ifrit, now there was a name that caught his attention. While he'd never been anywhere near Ifrit he had heard the name during his time in the Otherworld. "Do you know just who he is looking for?" Vergil asked calmly as he took up a place by a nearby wall, if they knew who Ifrit was looking for then it would be very likely that it would help them track him down. Either way it would promise to be an interesting hunt, especially with the mad human involved.

He grinned, coming to his feet, then turning to lean backwards on Dante's desk, facing the standing Vergil.
"Even better... I know where he's hiding. The Network is launching a joint attack on the base soon, as well, and I want the two of you to assist them. You will be paid handsomely, of course." He sighed and shook his head. "As for his target, Ifrit is after a young Halfer who escaped his claws four years ago, a flame demon by the name of 'Axel'. He's working with the Network now, so you may have a chance to meet him, and therefore his pursuer, if you follow them..."

Working for the network? Well, I guess it's possible. "Do you have any more information about this 'Axel' guy? You know, who he hangs around, where he frequents, stuff like that."

"He works as a waiter-slash-bartender at Veil," he replied, crossing his arms. "The kid has potential, and his old master wants him back. So he's decided to face his past head-on... his past and a few dark secrets as well. He's joining the Network for their mission against Ifrit and his 'attendant', Hojo, at their Complex just south of the city."

"It sounds simple enough." Vergil replied thoughtfully, indeed the mission seemed to be fairly straightforward if you didn't count the possibility of facing off against an extremely powerful full-blooded demon. Vergil merely hoped that the Otherborns present wouldn't do anything overtly foolish or end up hindering each other. He knew very little of the Network and how it worked so it was always safest to plan for such scenarios.

Hmmm, I turned to Vergil. "I guess one of us should get more detailed info on what the network is planning, and maybe whoever isn't doing that goes to meet with this Axel guy?" Seemed like a good idea to me.

"If you need that information, I can provide it," Izaya cut in. "In fact, I'll send one of my workers over with it and your up-front payment later this afternoon, since I have other duties to attend to this morning." He laced his fingers, elbows resting on his knees, chin resting on the platform his hands created.

Vergil looked to his brother and nodded, about to instruct him to go meet with Lea when Izaya had chosen that moment to speak. Shifting his gaze back to the rather suspicious info broker he judged the offer to be sound enough. If anything seemed lacking in the information provided then he and Dante could hunt further for what they needed. "That will do."
