Have any of you seen it? *smirk* If you haven't, you should - after all, it showcases all of my incredible strengths.
Don't believe all you see about me, though; most of those rmors are almost assuredly untrue. I'm nowhere near as bad as the show makes me out to be!
Honestly, I'm much, much worse.
*Izaya walks off laughing*
Me: ......*cough* So, um, yeah. Ignore him, will you? Anyway, DRRR!! is a pretty awesome show, and Izaya is indeed the villain - I recommend it to everyone who is able to see it. Well, aged 13 and up, I'd say - it has some rather bloody and/or disturbing moments, especially with all the semi-horror elements. The cast is superb, and the show has a wonderful suspense-oriented, supernatural storyline, centered around Ikebukuro, one of Tokyo's most infamous districts. The subculture and background are extremely rich; Ikebukuro itself feels like just another character in DRRR!!'s rich, expansive cast.
Focused on a large group of teenagers and young adults, DRRR!! follows a series of supernatural incidents in Ikebukuro, from the appearance of a mysterious Headless Rider, to rumors of a scheming pharmaceutical company doing human experiments, to a serial killer said to wield a cursed blade.
I have to admit. I geek out a little about DRRR!!. The characters are all very in-depth, 3- and sometimes even 4-dimensional, it seems. The thing to remember about DRRR!! is, everyone has a secret. Everyone. That little wussy guy Mikado? He's got one. His normally-weird, goofy best friend, Masaomi? Him too. That quiet, adorable girl who seems to exist solely as a Fanservice Chick, Anri? Oh yeah. And let's not get into the rest of them, the strange group of people Masaomi's friends with, the anger-management poster-boy Shizuo Heiwajima, and especially, the mysterious Izaya Orihara himself....
.....yes. I love DRRR!!.
