Not that I don't appreciate it, just still not sure why it's insisted as crack...especially since crack is silly and tends to not make sense.

Crack is just anything that's not canon, Sora, and usually a little silly. It doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. If it makes you chuckle a little bit, then it's crack, even if it's not yaoi between two characters who've never met before in their life and two totally disparate series that have nothing to do with each other.
