Shizuo and his cousin Kasuka were enjoying a night out at the Veil. After what had happened earlier, meeting Sora, Shiki and Namine he'd originally decided that he was going to head home and go to bed. But just as he got back to his place on one of the little side streets of Main, a taxi had pulled up and let his cousin out. To say he was surprised would have been a bit of an understatement, Kasuka was a famous actor now and usually had little time for his cousin, hell, they hadn't seen each other for over a year now.
A quick change of plans later and they were here, enjoying a quick catch up, a drink and a game of darts. Currently Shizuo was winning, but he had a feeling it was simply because Kasuka wasn't putting his all into the game.
"What's up cuz?" he asked him as he threw a dart into the board, nailing a 60 "Nothing!" Kasuka replied with an incredibly rare smile "I'm just wondering, you said in your emails that you'd lost that job at the bar up the road, and yet you're still wearing the old bartender outfits I sent you a while ago..." Shizuo chuckled and scratched the back of his neck "Well, first of all you set me up with an entire wardrobe, I saw no need to buy more, secondly, they're a generally good outfit, going out on a casual night out like tonight? I can take the bow tie off, just dossing? I can take the waistcoat off too. Thirdly, they've become a bit of a staple for me, people expect them of me!"
Kasuka laughed as he threw a dart at the board and hit the 20 "So what, you have a reputation here now?" Shizuo nodded solemnly before taking up position to throw, whilst his cousin drank from the cocktail he'd purchased earlier "No prizes for guessing what for, it's when I kick up a storm, it doesn't normally happen often... It's just when the damn Izaya's around..." he gritted his teeth and was about to lob the dart in anger but his cousin grabbed his wrist "Chill out Shizuo... I'm not paying for any damages" he added the last part with a wink, but all the same, Shizuo calmed down.
"He just gets under my skin is all" he said throwing the dart casually into the board, striking another 60 "Yeah!" he yelled punching the air "Game. Set and match!" he beamed at his cousin and gave him a light jab on the shoulder. It was good to have him back.
Picking up the bottle of beer that he'd bought from the bar he took a sip as someone else wandered into the Veil.

"Argh! Let me through! I work here you know!"
Lea shoved through the crowd that had suddenly and inexplicably gathered here at Veil. A lot of them were repeat customers, but most of them were new - and he got the feeling that most of the new clientele was utterly and completely normal, which wasn't a type of person who typically showed up at Veil in large, massive throngs.
Unfortunately, it also wasn't the kind of crowd he could let a few sparks off in front of to clear a path - so he had to resort to shoving.
"KASUKKAAAAAAA~~~!" squealed a couple of girls standing together, attempting to snap pictures with their phones. Lea rolled his eyes and growled. "Get OUT of my WAY!" he shouted, shoving past the last couple and into the relatively-empty space around the bar.
"What the hell is going on here?!" he exclaimed, stepping back behind the bar and into the backroom.
"We have a special patron," replied Tifa, where she was checking shipping manifests for a new shipment from the liquor depots. "Big-name actor Kasuka Heiwajima; we've got a lot of business, which is why I called you in. Poor Lex is dying out there." Lex being the other waiter.
He rolled his eyes, then stepped back out into the fray. Luckily, in his two years here, Lea'd become an expert crowd wrangler.

To say that big crowds were not something Noctis was fond of was an understatement and that was the very thing the actor Kasuka had brought into the Veil. Large crowds meant lots of people in limited space which led to lots of bumping into each other. As a result Noctis now sat at the bar with the heel of one hand pressed to his forehead and his eyes closed tightly as he tried to keep the migraine at bay. He'd been bumped into by so many people in the past 15 minutes that his power had quickly been overused, something that caused rather painful migraines. He sighed before reaching for his soda, taking a deep drink of the carbonated sugar water before his eyes caught Lea walking into the back room.

Shizuo couldn't help but chuckle at the situation unfurling around them "I've gotta' say Kasuka..." he muttered looking at the groups of screaming girls attempting to get a picture of the actor "You're really rolling in it these days aren't you?" his cousin simply looked at him before shrugging "It's not all it's hyped up to be..." he said nonchalantly as he also eyed the hordes of fans trying to approach him. The pair had managed to avoid being completely swamped when Shizuo had earlier picked some guy off the ground and threatened to throw him through the wall when he'd insulted his cousin, ever since the groups of people had been careful to keep their distance, but they let the odd person approach here and there for Kasuka's autograph and a picture.
Whilst his cousin beckoned someone else forward, Shizuo looked over in Lea's direction, he didn't know the barman well but all the same he raised his hand and beckoned him over "Hey!" he yelled "Hey Lea! You got a minute?"

He heard his name being called from the center of the mass; the blonde guy - Shizuo, maybe? the name sounded right - was difficult to miss, since he towered over most of the rest of the patrons. Lea was easy to spot in a crowd, so it didn't seem too out of the realm of possibility that Shizuo could see him as well.
"Just a sec!" he called over the music and the slavering horde before shoving his way through, managing to deliver his current load on the way.
"What's up?" he asked, straightening the uniform that was, in all honesty, very similar to the one Shizuo was wearing (except without the snazzy black bowtie). "Whaddaya need?"

"I just want to apologise for all of this" he said, motioning to the crowds around him. He admittedly felt somewhat guilty, the Veil was primarily a place for Otherborn, and he didn't expect Kasuka to have such a following in Urbadelphia. "But y'know, to make it up to you me and Kasuka are telling people who get an autograph to chill out, enjoy a drink or two. I don't see why the Veil shouldn't be able to bring in a profit on this!" He smiled at the barman "But yeah, I'm sure you're busy! If you need any help just give me a yell"
He nodded at Lea and was about to turn around to head back into the crowd but then he paused for a moment "By the way..." he said giving a small smile "Nice outfit."

Lea blinked.
"Wait, you guys are responsible for this?" He hadn't expected Shizuo to know this famous actor guy. Then again, he did have to admit, they were in the center of the crowd. Maybe he was acting as bodyguard? Made sense.
"I'm doing fine on my own. But hey, yeah - thanks for all the business. Tifa's really happy about it, and when Tifa's happy, we're all happy." He grinned. Noticing Shizuo start to leave, he was about to get back to work when he heard the blonde guy's comment.
Turning back, he realized the irony of the comment; he grinned. "You too. Ever need any work here in Urbadelphia, you should apply; Tifa's known for taking in lost causes with snazzy uniforms," he joked.

Shizuo chuckled at the joke "But yeah, we're responsible for this, I didn't know that Kasuka was dropping down so I didn't exactly have time to ask you if all of this was cool with you and Tifa, but if all's good then all's good, right?" He beamed at Lea before looking back at Kasuka. "It's weird, it only seems like yesterday that I was throwing a fridge at him for eating my dessert..."
He shook his head as if to rid himself of a fog in his mind or something of the sort "But hey! I might have to take you up on that offer, I sometimes struggle to find a day job with what I handle at night, plus I have a tendency to throw my employers through the wall..." he gave a small smile "But, I know you, and I know you and Tifa are okay people so, maybe when Kasuka's gone home or at least has a place to stay, I'll hit you up on that offer"

He chuckled at Shizuo's comments. "Like I said, when Tifa's happy, I'm happy." He thought for a moment. "You guys want anything? I can get it for you. On the house; Tifa won't mind with all the extra business."
He paused, letting the blonde guy continue... then let out a hearty laugh at the thought of anyone attempting to throw Tifa through a wall. "This might be the best place for you, then," he joked. "But... thanks. Thanks for the vote of confidence." He grinned. "Guess I'll see you around, then, Shizuo!" He waved, then slipped back through the crowd.... or, attempted to.
"Out of my way! I WORK HERE YOU IDIOTS, MOVE!"

Shizuo raised his bottle of beer and gave Lea a nod "We're good!" with that he headed back towards the crowd and started pushing his way through, the majority remembered the earlier incident and simply let him pass, the few that were too busy trying to push to see Kasuka were simply shoved aside. When he was back alongside his cousin he sat down and looked at the crowds around them.
"Man..." he said "This place is really, really packed isn't it?" Kasuka simply laughed before looking across at Lea "So, who was that? A friend of yours?" Shizuo was about to shake his head before shrugging "I guess so, he's a Halfer" he muttered, keeping his voice low so as no-one would overhear "Like me" Kasuka nodded, his cousin knew all about the Otherworld, Otherborn, Demons and Halfers. His uncle was one after all "I see..." he muttered in reply as he took a drink.

"Gahhhhh," he grumbled, making his way back behind the counter. "Sorry about the wait," he told the first customer he saw, not realizing that it was someone he knew until he looked up, blinking. "Oh. Hey there... it's Noctis, right? You look like you could use something strong."

At the sound of someone talking to him he looked up, his normally blue eyes now had a red ring around the iris which normally happened when the migraines hit instead of turning completely red as they did when his powers where in use. He nodded to verify that Lea had gotten his name right. "Yeah, I could. Do you have anything that can dull the worst headache of your life?" He asked the red haired bartender, rubbing at his forehead slightly before straightening in his seat from his slumped over position.

He twitched a little bit at the shift in Noctis' eyes, but, realizing that most patrons of Veil had their own little abilities, nodded.
"I'm going to trust that you're of legal age to drink," he said, "'cause it looks like you really need something. Here.... this is some of Tifa's Good Stuff." He poured the black-haired young man a shot. "SHould fix you right up, unless you drink too much - then you'll have it worse when the hangover kicks in."

He nodded in order to confirm that he was of legal age, immediately grimacing when the movement of his head caused his migraine to flare. It didn't take long before Lea set down a shot in front of him. "Thanks Lea. You're a lifesaver." He said before drinking the alcohol. "So..." He trailed off, unsure how to start as he wasn't normally one for conversation. "How are things going with Aya?" He asked.

He choked.
"F-f-fine!" he choked out. "Wh-why?" He cleared his throat.
"Why do you ask?" he repeated, trying to regain his calm demeanor. It wasn't like they were going out or anything! It was one date. One date! It wasn't even really a date-date.
Okay, it was a date-date, but, Noctis didn't need to knw that!
