I blink and stare, "Um... Is there something wrong with my carpet?" My voice a little defensive as walk towards the stairs, but then duck down a hall way to the little bathroom. After a minute or so I go into kitchen and get a glass of water before coming out and offering it to Neku.

"Thanks," I mumbled. SOra's shouting was not helping what was quickly becoming the headache of the year. I must've overdone it with my abilities - and whatever Namine triggered probably had something to do with it too.

Aqua raises a brow at the bickering that seemed to be beginning before sighing and saying, "Maybe we shouldn't argue." She's trying to be that parental figure whom suggests something, but lets the kids figure it out.

As distasteful and rude as Sora is being in my household which I allowed him entrance to... I find myself biting back words and saying softly, "I can get you a pair of sun glasses if you're that worried... Ang... Carpet need to go on the list." I can see him nodding as I sit down next to Neku. "How about we start where we left off... Where did we leave off?"

When it seemed like no one was going to chip in their two cents and I was going to have to respond, Angel beats me to it, "What other factor could have... Its only plausible after all." He's being formal and stiff about it, but yeah, that was my thoughts exactly.

"Certainly something I never seen before," Sora said, "Even Ghost Rider doesn't know it himself, which makes me suspicious."
He looked at for awhile. "Though I can't claim to be well versed in demon magic...there is something odd about it, it doesn't seem to carry the same...weight as a demon spell I dunno..."

I picked it up off the table and examined it.
"It looks mechanical," I guessed. "Y'know... according to Lea, most demons aren't comfortable with technology. 'The Lessers are too stupid to use it, and the Greaters are too old to try it'." I turned it over; it was decently heavy, not too bulky, though. "I wonder if Ifrit's human pawn is an engineer? The crystal here could be the focus... it's warm, likely from controlling the energy..."
Once again, I wished that the people who'd helped me rebuild the Network were here. I knew one guy who'd have this figured out in no time. I gave an exasperated sigh.
"I suck at this stuff... I wonder if there's anyone who might be able to help us figure out who might have made this, and what exactly it does? It has to have started that crossing."

Shiki stared at the object, "What really gets to me is that someone actually had the ability to make this thing. Whoever is working with Ifrit, they're no joke." She shook her head, "If they're able to create Crossings, what else could they accomplish?"

Aqua frowns at all of this, "So... There isn't like anything trade mark on it, right? No big company markings?" Now that would scare the crap outta her! Someone with that much influence working with a demon? She frowns and deeper before adding. "Well... At least that narrows the list down to engineers... Right?"

I sigh and say, "Though it kind of matter what they can accomplish, the real question is can we stop them before we do? We need to find them, stomp them out, and then re-stomp them so they don't come back!" I looks to Aqua. ''And it shouldn't matter whom they are, the challenge stays the same, protect the city, protect the world."
I nod at this and then say while standing, "We need to get back out there! Expand our horizons, we couldn't of checked every possible place for a demon to hide in yet, have we?" I shake my head. "If we find the human we find the demon, if we find the demon he'll more than likely use his partner as a shield, because that's just how demons work... Either way... We get what we want and we can put an end to this madness!"
