Noctis nodded, about to go out the door when Lea grabbed his shirt and spoke to him. "I suppose you could say that." he said, wondering what as with the secrecy aside from the most obvious reason. After all, it wasn't as if anyone else was there.

He nodded, then stepped outside the club.... only to see the creature get slashed by Riku's two blades and thrown aside, growling.
"HOly.... wow, Noctis, you really can pick 'em!" he said, flames appearing in both hands.

"Took your sweet time did ya?" Riku said between pants. "I'm not getting any younger!" Riku used his swords to slash twice more at the creature but it had managed to nick him across the arm. "That can't be good." His body was starting to feel like it weighted 500 pounds. "We're going to have to finish up fast because this thing's venom acts fast!"

Noctis tightened his grip on the handle of his blade as they arrived, chuckling at Lea's words. "What can I say, I'm missed just that badly." He replied before lunging towards the creature, grateful to have some backup or else he could have been on his way back to the Complex.

I had felt something was going down, my sensitive ears picking up the sounds of battle, but its wasn't a crossing. I frown and take off running from the spot I had been sniffing out food from. Rounding a corner I see the fight and hiss to myself. With out a rip in the veil I can't change, but this will work. I get closer and gauge for a moment to assist what seems to be Otherborn. If it means getting into a tumbling and teeth snapping fight with this ugly thing then I will!
A black haired guy with a sword, a nice guy actually, lunges. And another blade wielder, one with prettier hair, is tiring fast nearby. A guy with red hair and red flames is also here, but these details don't matter. I gotta wait my turn to kick this evil's butt.

Good. The silver-haired sword wielder with dark fire was already succumbing to the poison. Its fangs produced new, and it lunged around to the side of the Target, who now had backup....
Target analysis.
Analysis complete! Target 2, located! Its sensors automatically sent a ping back to whence it came, signifying that the two Targets were, indeed, working together, before it went for a quick bite at Noctis' ankle.

"Grrrr!" Lea leaped back from the creature's fresh onslaught. "Noctis, look out!" He sent a spurt of fire at the creature, which leaped aside and growled, turning to attack Lea, this time.
"Crap, crap, crap!" The thing's fangs entered him, and he growled.
Poison.
He kicked it off of him, but it got back up. "What the hell is this thing?" he yelled at Noctis.

"That's what I'd like to know!" Riku said as he used his blades Dawn and Dusk to attack the creature's neck, hoping to behead it and end this fast but the posion was slowing his movements. "Going to have to time this right!" Riku jumped up and landed on the creature's back and lodged his blades into the creature's neck before cleaving through it.

Noctis cursed and did his best to get out of range though the thing still managed to land a quick bite on his ankle. He grimaced at the pain that shot up his leg before swiping at the creature with his sword. Luckily Riku managed to quickly dispose of it. He tested his weight on his ankle before looking to the others. "Let's get indoors before this stuff really takes hold. I'll explain everything there."

Lea gritted his teeth - the poison was working rather quickly. He could feel it, numbing his body, dulling his senses...

NO! He wasn't... there. He closed his eyes, breathed deep.
"That would probably be a good idea," he said, and there was a slight growl in his voice as he staved off the panic attack.

With my ears laid back I realized I was unable to assist the Otherborn at all. That is until I see the silver haired guy limping. Rushing over to him I giggle and offer a smile, "Want some help?"

Noctis nodded and headed inside, glancing over at Kiara as she approached before walking fully into the Veil and taking a seat in one of the chairs as he began to feel the paralytic toxin working its way up from his ankle. He waited for the others to assemble themselves so that he could explain.

Lea beckoned them into the back room.
"It'll be safe in here," he said, still gritting his teeth slightly. He could feel the shivers coming on as the poison was ejected forcefully from his body.
Partial immunity to being drugged was one of the few perks his childhood and inhuman blood had given him, but the panic attacks...

White walls, a cold table, and the way the furniture twisted increased the nausea as the sweats came, causing him to shiver as the cuts on his torso sluggishly trailed blood...

He blinked, shook his head. He wouldn't succumb to it.
"Tifa!" he called. "We need.... antivenin. That stuff Shinra makes."
The black-haired waitress was there in a flash, carrying a first aid kit. Looking around, at the assembled group, she sighed.
"I'm not even going to ask," she said, handing Lea the kit. "You're sparking, Lea. If you burn down the bar, I'm going to be incredibly upset."
Then she walked out of the room again.

Noctis followed Lea into the back room, looking around at the decor before Tifa arrived at Lea's call. He looked towards his employer as she entered, suddenly aware that he was still dressed in his uniform since he hadn't had time to change before he'd been attack. "Well, I guess I'll start explaining." He said, leaning against a nearby table and thinking about where to begin.
"About four years ago I was kidnapped from my home and I was taken to what was referred to by the others as "The Complex". There's a scientist there by the name of Hojo and he likes to experiment. Specifically on humans. He was looking for a way to unlock psychic abilities and eventually went so far as to trigger a crossing which is when I manifested my abilities. I guess that's when he first started targeting Otherborn." He shook his head before he continued on. "I escaped just last year before he managed to do anything really horrible. That thing was the result of one of Hojo's experiments."
