He shrugged, leaning back against a wall. "I'll admit, my entrance was a bit on the overdone side... my name is Izaya Orihara, and I'm an information broker here in Urbadelphia. My sources learned you were coming to this town, and I thought I'd offer my services," he said. "Considering the... nature of your business, someone with ties to the other side of things might prove useful to you."
It was possibly a trick of the light, but an observer might swear that, for one split second, Izaya's eyes turned as red as the blood that marred Dante's floor.

It wasn't difficult to see what was going on from where he was standing, collecting the weapons maintenance supplies that he required. It was then made clear as to just why Izaya had seemed off. After all, his hints weren't exactly subtle if someone knew what it was that he could be talking about of if the listener had ties to that other side as well. Blood ties.

For the first time in the entire time he'd been in the shop, he glanced towards where Vergil stood.
That one was a sharp one, and he hadn't accounted for the brother's presence; all his reports said that the man was still in the Otherworld where he belonged.
Interesting. Very, very interesting...

A little debate went on in my head. Should I let him? Why shouldn't I use his help? Questions like that. "Alright Izaya, I think we got ourselves a deal. Just make sure your 'ties' and I don't have a disagreement, got it? Or else things will turn out bad for you."
I decided that while I should accept his help, I couldn't trust him 100%. He seemed shady. "I'm assuming you'll want part of the pay if I do need your services? You know, if it's accurate. If not then you don't get a dime, understood?"

He nodded.
"Of course, it's only good business that we work out an arrangement based on mutual benefit. I can't say that I won't hire you myself, should I ever need a helping hand."

He had pulled Yamato from its scabbard and had set it upon a table, immediately working on cleaning the demon blood and sharpening the blade though he still paid attention to what was going on. Out of his peripheral vision he saw Izaya glance towards him and Vergil narrowed his eyes. Just what was going through his head? After all, information was this guy's business. There was no telling just how far that knowledge stretched.

I smirked, glad to know that this could potentially go well, you know, if he sticks to his word. "Alright Izaya, you know where to find me if you need me." I looked at Vergil to see if he had any reaction to this guy. He's always had a sense of who to trust and who not to, aside from a few occasions, it's been pretty handy and pretty accurate. From his expression though and that nasty glare, I'm guessing he thinks this guy is trouble.

He grinned.
"I'm glad this has been an enlightening conversation for all of us!" He stepped off the wall, smirking, waving his arm widely to encompass the whole room, as if there were more than them three standing there.
"Goodbye for now, Dante, Vergil!" He waved, then skipped backward out the door.... and disappeared into the shadows.

Vergil emerged from where he had been sharpening Yamato's blade, the whetstone still in his hand as Izaya departed. "A mysterious character, to be sure." He said quietly, pondering how Izaya could possibly have known who he was. He had gone to great lengths to keep both himself and his activities hidden from the eyes of others. But if this man had contacts in the demon world then the reason would be more obvious.

"That's for sure. Definitely someone to keep an eye on... What do you think Verg?" I walked from where I was standing and went to clean the blood off the floor. "Think any of what he said was trustworthy?" He reminded me of a character in an old movie I watched, a lion who threw his brother off a cliff and into a stampede. I really didn't want that happening to me, metaphorically or otherwise.

While Vergil wasn't particularly fond of the nickname he had long since learned to ignore it, learning at a young age that antagonizing Dante would only make it worse. "He obviously has many contacts to have access to the kind of information that he would need. No one would see an information broker for what they could easily find out themselves." He said thoughtfully as he set the whetstone down on the surface of Dante's desk.

"Well yeah but I mean, do you think he'd give me faulty information and send me straight into a stampede... Metaphorically... Or real I guess, either stampede would be bad." I continued to ramble to myself for a bit before getting back on task. "You've always been good at telling whether or not someone is trust worthy or not. So you tell me."

He thought it over, absently tapping the tips of his fingers against the desk. He had dealt with enough information brokers before he had raised Temen-ni-gru, but he had never met one quite like Izaya before. "I believe he will be honest, and give you trustworthy information. But only as long as it suits his purposes. He seems to be the type who cares nothing for the designs of others." He said to his twin, raising an eyebrow at his brother's rambling about stampedes.

"Let's hope that whatever I need will suit his purpose then..." I grabbed a mop and bucket of water and walked to the blood on the floor. I started washing the blood off the floor.
"Anyways, Verg... What do you plan to do? You know, now that you're out of Hell and all that. Going to go find another demonic tower to raise? Find yourself a girl? I'm sure Lady is free." I smirked at the thought of the two of them together, a cold guy like my brother and a fire brand like Lady. "Nevermind, she'd sooner shoot you then get close to you. Trust me, I know from personal experience." I pointed to a spot where she once shot me. "I got plenty more to."

Vergil briefly returned to the kitchen to put his now sharpened sword back in its sheath before walking back into the room where Dante was mopping just in time to hear his question as well as his remarks about demonic towers and women, Lady in particular. "Lady shot you?" While the tone of his voice gave nothing away, his eyebrows did raise fractionally. Granted, in the very brief time he had known Lady she had not shown much in the way of fondness for his twin brother. So he supposed it wasn't far fetched considering the way Dante frequently got on his own nerves.
"As for what I plan to do, brother, is do what one would normally expect. Locate what funds are left in my possession and find a place to live." He replied as he glanced around the office, taking in the state of the structure.
