Sora drove the bike to the outskirts of the city, putting it in brake he stopped to check his phone. His finger hovering over a pre-made message made to be sent to the Network, a request for assistance. He could usually handle any situation on his own, but this particular job needed some extra hands.
He used to hate having extra hands around.
"Damn it all...think I am getting soft." he looked at the message and pressed send, sending a message to any nearby Network affiliates for backup.

Jack, through the contacts that he had made, had managed to slip his phone details into the dossier containing all the contact details for the Network. As such he received Sora's text and was thankfully already in the area when he realized he had an opportunity here to play the true fiddler. Within a few minutes he was approaching Sora's location in his human form with a grin playing across his face, he would play it safe for now, keep his power pieces back and send the pawns out to die. He would pretend to be a simple Otherborn, the sample of darkness he had taken from Riku would prevent the Ghost Rider from seeing him for who he is and keep up appearances.
"I take it..." he muttered in that icy cold voice "That you are the one who sent the message?" he asked, feigning caution of his surroundings in case of a demon attack, looking every part a member of the Network who was being cautious about approaching someone who could potentially want to rip his throat out and eat his soul, oh the irony that if it were so simple, that's exactly what Jack would be doing now.

Sora looked at the person with interest, definitely someone he never seen before. Not who he was hoping for anyway.
"Yeah I am..." he said, slipping the phone away. "Not who I was hoping for though, who are you?"

"I'm Adelbs" he said, playing out his little act, eyeing not the Ghost Roder but the area around him as an Otherborn would when checking for threats. "I recently got signed onto the Network..." he added, hoping to explain why Sora had never seen him before this moment. Now was the do-or-die moment, if he saw through him now then that would be the end of this act. But if he succeeded then the game may just go on. "A-and, who might you be?" Jack asked, now impersonating meekness in front of what his character should believe to be a figure of authority. He was never one to blow his own trumpet, but his acting was superb, his body language and posture, his expression, even the way he calmed his tones, his British accent disguised as an American.

Sora's usual detective instincts kicked in, whoever this was seemed meek in front of him, posture told him that much. he scanned the area not him showed he wasn't completely focused on him. His accent showed he around here too, seemed like there was nothing to worry about.
Then he caught it, it was oh-so-subtle. In fact he could almost think it was imagined, but in the last parts of his sentence a small...something slipped out. A pronunciation, the way he inflicted his vocal tones was not an American...but a British tone.
That was interesting. He could be wrong though, better keep an eye out for it.
Perhaps it was gut instinct, he regarded every new person he met with distrust. He was hoping Shiki or Neku would get his message and this...new guy shows along, that's enough for him to fire on alert. But not be active yet...
Soon, a game of verbal cat and mouse would erupt between them.
"New guy huh, don't expect any sympathy from me rookie." he said, sitting against his bike. "What's your power?"

"I'm not one to accept sympathy, sir" he said before hearing him inquire about his abilities, this was another thing that he'd already thought through before approaching his quarry "My eyesight" he said bluntly "I have sharper eyes than anyone you'll ever meet" he flicked two daggers into his palms, he had used the illusion Izaya had placed over him to disguise them as ones different to his usual blades. He was leaving no trace of his true self.
"I can put these through a man's eyes before he even knows I have them" he said before eyeing Sora not so much cautiously, or suspiciously... But with a sense of interest "And, what about you? What's your power?"

Receving a text from Sora requsting assistance Riku smiled. "Looks like I'm starting to rub off on him." He said as he called a dark corador and emerged at the location mentioned in the text only to see Jack and Sora looking like they were about to match wits. "Am I interuppting? Nice to see you again Sora my old pal!" He decided to also greet Jack as well. "Hey Jack, nice to see you! Glad to see you found The Network."

"Hey!" Jack said, noting two things, first of all Riku was playing alongside him which meant he was still on side, something that would no doubt help prove his validity as an Otherborn, but he'd also made a mistake, he'd called him Jack... "And you don't have to use my little codename Riku, I'm away from what had happened the other day, we're just sticking with Adelbs for now!" he grinned, hoping that he'd covered his trails.
It was a question of how well Sora trusted his friend, and how Riku would react, it could either blow his cover or strengthen it all the more.

Sora narrowed his eyes at the both of them, this person he barely trusted...Riku clearly had different ways of doing things, making their friendship...strained. He'd have to be wary.
"...Whatever." he simply said, turning to a building. "A demon merchant dwells in that building, specializes in human slavery. We're gonna take him out."

"Sorry, force of habit. Glad to see your alright Adelbs!" He turned to Sora. I" ran into him during a crossing and if I hadn't gotten him out of there in time things would have ended up badly for him." Riku replied cooly. He almost slipped up there but he knew what he was doing was right. Sometimes you have to go through the darkness to get to the light.

Jack nodded, holding his blades at the ready he looked across to Sora "We need anything specific from him? Information or anything of the like? Or are we just sending his ass straight back to Hell?" he asked, balancing on the balls of his feet, holding the daggers loosely, and ready to be thrown and invoke havoc.
The game seemed to be playing out as he wanted it... For the time being, whether he was cautious or not, the Ghost Rider trusted him enough to let him partake in the current event, and if Riku didn't give the game up then that was even better! It seems the silver haired teenager wanted his power bad enough to hide his identity from Sora. He would need to make his move into the Void soon to pay the boy what he so desired.

"Stopping his operation but he has hostages so lets get this clear, they come top priority over everything else." Sora said, "We're getting as many out as we can."
He paused before he added, "He's got larger demons too, grunts mostly, lots of heavy hitters so watch yourselves."

"Then let's not keep them waiting shall we?" Riku said as he pulled out Way To Dawn and readied himself for battle.

Jack nodded at Riku's statement "They won't catch me by suprised this time..." he snarled, keeping the consistency of the story that he and Riku had concocted. "If any of the lessees take hostages, I'll be able to take them down before they have the opportunity to harm them." he was attempting to feign an eagerness to impress those which a new member of The Network would consider their superior.
