Name: Otar
Age: 865
Appearance: Otar is a tall and decrepit mage who wears ragged robes adorned with bones. He also wears his unique Otar Mask which gives him the appearance of constantly having his eyes closed.
Race: Formerly a human, he was granted great strength by the Jack of Blades, and became an empowered human.
Powers: Being empowered by Jack granted Otar many powers. For a start death via old age is not an option for him. At first he considered this his curse, but over time as his mind deteriorated, he turned his view point into thinking that it was a blessing with which he can serve his master for all eternity. He uses a life time of experience in combat. Showing mastery of lightning based spells and even being able to summon a storm golem (a powerful creature made of rocks held together by electric based magic). He is also highly resistant to elemental magic.
Weaknesses: Otar’s utter devotion to Jack of Blades makes him highly susceptible to manipulation, if he can be convinced that an action is a good turn for the Jack he will follow the order without question. Similarly, his reverence of Jack as an Anti-God has placed a sense of fear in his undead heart that his lord may strike vengeance upon him if he does not act in his best wishes. He hates being shown to be on an equal level or worse off than one he considers to be ‘below him’ and usually flies into a rage, increasing his strength but decreasing his accuracy and precision.
Personality: Otar is effectively a Satanist. Not only does he revel in the pain of others, he is an avid devil worshipper, most notably in Jack of Blades. He is cold, cynical and trusts no-one except his lord. His long years of life have given him an immense amount of knowledge and wisdom that have left him with a superiority complex, he feels that he is above all of those around him again save for that notable exception. Equally though, he is susceptible to the orders of others who persuade him that his actions would be in the best interests of Jack.
History: Otar was a Medieval priest during the year of 1206 and was a devout follower of the word of God. It is during a pilgrimage to Jerusalem that he encountered a crossing and witnessed a demon, he was completely and utterly fascinated as he watched an ancient Otherborn combat the threat. Afterwards he studied more into demons and become obsessed with their strength, he spent decades learning how to create crossings until he eventually made one to The Void. Here he encountered Jack of Blades who was admittedly impressed with Otar’s study of the Otherworld. He granted the priest the gift of eternal life (Not invincibility) and a potency in the ways of magic.
When Jack was sealed away, Otar looked for ways to free his lord but could find none. When he was eventually freed, Otar made his way to the city of Urbadelphia to find the demon he reveres so greatly, he understands that others will be disgusted and afraid of his appearance, and as such he simply appears to humans as a man in a large overcoat (this is just an illusion. Other demons and Otherborn will see him in his true form)
