"Again," Namine's voice cuts through Aqua's wariness, pushing her harder and farther than ever before. "I will put it farther away and you'll summon it to your side." Their working with Aqua's sword today, heavier in weight than Namine's canister, but easier to bring to her side because she has full ownership of this item. Her concentration fully on the object Namine had moved.
"Is it set?" Aqua's vocie calls determined and ready, he muscles tensed and ready.
"Yes," Namine calls as she jumps to the side as the metal glows and disappears. It reappears in the tiring bluenette's hand. "Good! That was quicker even!!" The blond's praise making the mother smile, glad she had such an understanding coach. But then her work catches up with her.
Her heart kicks up as she drops to her knees exhausted, her carefully placed protection from showing weakness failing. But Namine just said, "Aqua... Focus." Two sets of blue hues catch each other and Aqua nods, standing. "Normally I don't advice pushing yourself like this, but Aqua you could be so much better... I can feel it... We just have to get past that block... I got it."
Aqua watched as the blond walks up to her, and pulls a knife out from under her skirt, something Aqua told her might be helpful with someone like Angel around. Namine had agreed and now keeps the weapon on her at all times, concealed under her skirt. She holds out the knife, "We're trading weapons... And remember... Focus."
Aqua nods, confused, she's sure that this girl wouldn't be able to lift her blade, she too fragile. And part of her is betting that Nami didn't even know how to handle it.
"Defend yourself!" Suddenly her blade came swipping at her and Aqua was forced to jump back, barely being missed. Her balance unsettled, but she takes it the momentum. Falling back she lands in a handstand and pushes herself backwards, landing on her feet farther away.
"What the heck! Namine, you alm-- ACK!" She jumps back as the blond charges at her, weapon whooshing past and snagging a little of her clothing. "You could of actually hit me!"
"That's the point!" And Namine was coming at her again, something in Aqua snapped. Her hand clenched and she felt her power surge.
"THIS IS DANGEROUS!!! ENOUGH!" At enough her weapon had returned to her hand she swiped it in front of her, taking a fighting stance as Namine topples forward, weight unsettled. But Aqua watches her with an uncaring gaze as she falls forward and face plants. "This is why children shouldn't be fighting like this!"
But Namine could only laugh, she rolls onto her back while doing so. Her mind gripped with the giggles. Soon Aqua relaxes and stares at her, confused. And all Namine could do is say, "Good job, you focused~."
Aqua stares down at her, shocked at the reaction. Then she begins to smile, "Yeah I guess I did." She gives a small laugh as she sets her sword down and gets down to hold her hand out to Nami. "Want help up?"
"Mmmmmm... Whats the first full of protection?" Namine response instead and Aqua quirks a brow.
"Um...?"
"Rule one... Focus, never stop focusing... Not just for yourself, but your comrades as well," Namine says cheerfully. "One second of lost thought and you'll be eaten alive, teeth snapping at you feet, no armor, no weapons, just you and the other's powers... Now THAT was training for special abilities." The blond begins giggling again and all Aqua can do is shake her head, a smile on her lips.
"Alirght... Lemonade sound good?"
"YES!!!"
"C'mon then, up you go."

"... Aqua...?" Namine was sitting in the mother's living room, watching as Sininen and Midori took down the Christmas tree finally. "I... I am right, right?"
Aqua looks to the child, she can feel where she is coming from. She had been there, leaving everything she knew for something she loved more than what she left. So Aqua goes and put an arm around her, "Yes... You are... Just focus on the present... If you don't you'll just end up bitter." The mother pokes Namine's nose and the blond smiles weakly as she leans into Aqua.
"Right... I just need to Focus..."
- - -
"SININEN! FOCUS!!!" Aqua shouts at her son as he barely manages to parry his brother's brutal attack. "You're faster than him! You can do this!!!"
Namine sat, watching the family with a cold expression. One she usually only would direct at someone like... Angel. But this... THis reminded her so much of home. She grits her teeth before finally she stands up, "Alright, alright... Sini? Come here...!"
Everyone was shocked, the boys stopped fighting and Aqua turned, confused, to the blond. But the blue haired boy just bounced up, "Yeah, Blondie?"
Namine's huffs a moment before saying, "Can you focus with you mother shouting at you like that?"
Sini blinks and cocks his head to the side, "I guess... Never practiced with out her--"
"Aqua... Could you please, kindly, make us some refreshments? I think the boys are good for one day," Namine says coldly as she looks to Aqua, her eyes saying that they needed to talk, before she turned to leave. "Although, I must be going, I forgot to leave a note with Neku, he's most likely noticed I'm gone by now... And I said I would make dinner." She smiles to herself, her newest item for dinner was mac and cheese and hot dogs. She never had it when she was little, but... she really wanted to make something simple... That's what she found in her simple meals search online, so it'll have to work...
--
You need to let them bloom on their own!
They're my kids! I'll raise them how I see fit!
Aqua! I'm not asking you to have them move out, I'm just saying... Maybe Sini and Dori should train a couple times a week with only me... If that unsettles you I'll bring Neku along too.
And Shiki even!
Aqua sighes heavily at the Chatroom's IMs. She was really getting irritated. Namine refused to come and help her have the confidence to help her boys train because she feels that Aqua is pushing a little too loudly for her youngest. Which was stupid... She never pushed her kids around, never.
But...
Then why was she considering this.
Aqua?
Please.
Not for me... For Sininen... He's worried about impressing you, I can see that when he fights... He needs to Focus.
Aqua sighs and finally makes her decision.
Fine
But Neku and Shiki both have to be present.
Thank you Aqua. I can do that...

"FOCUS!!!"
A blond lady shouts her green eyes alight with hunger. Her powerful attacks being unleashed over and over again upon a black haired man with blue eyes, shut in concentration and pain.
"If I can brake through then anyone can! You're weak! Focus harder dammit!!"
Blue eyes, hugs and innocent, watch in horror.
DADDY! A little girl thinks as she watches the scene unfold before her. Her father taking the beating and then some. Exhausted he collasped and was promptly yelled at. But he pushed it away when he heard the soft crying of his little girl. But, his wife isn't through with him, too Focused on what their doing to hear their daughter crying out for Mommy to stop!

Namine smiles to Aqua, but the mother knows better than that. She pulls the girl into her arms, "Nightmares again?" And that's all that needs to be said for Nami to melt into the woman's warm embrace, holding her like a child would their parent when scared.
Aqua just rocks them a little and lets the moment of weakness pass. Namine seems to be having more and more of them as time goes on, as old wounds finally heal.
"Thank you... You're always so intune with others," The blond finally gets out.
Aqua just smiles, "Well... That's one thing I'm good at... Focusing on others."
Namine just smiles back...

Aqua and Namine as back to back in a crossing. Both taking down the lessers as the boys, both seventeen now, cut forward and attack the larger ones. Soon though Namine nods to Aqua, "Its a spell...I can feel it...Follow me!" Together they destroyed the magic.
One highfive, a whole bunch of hugs, and laughter later, Namine smiles to the boys, "I think... Its time... Aqua... Show them."
Aqua smiles and summons two swords to her hands. One is made with a deep purple metal and the other black like the night. She holds the purple one out to Sini, "For you... And for you" She holds the black one out to Midori. Sininen doesn't move, just calls his blade to his side, beaming brightly.
Midori walks up and kisses his mother's forehead and takes the sword, "Thank you mother." The family is brimming with happiness. Namine smiles to herself.
"Focus... Who needs that when you have love..." She smiles to herself and turns to walk away again... Wanting to get home and to the arms of her own loved one. "That truly what focus is... Our love."
