Alright, as we all know, the hipsters are beginning their takeover of the music industry with "DubStep." This form of music usually doesn't have lyrics, and is usually all wub-wub-wub-wub-hshsss-wub-wub-wub.
And I really just dislike it. But yet, I want to listen to it. -_- Confusing. Any thoughts or opinions on this music?

That's the problem. As much as I try and fight it, it's ADDICTING! xP I'm practically hooked on Equinox by Skrillex.

I love dubstep. But I'm not a massive fan of Skrillex, it's just not filthy enough! XD Although I like Narcissistic Cannibal by Korn which he worked on.
If you want really heavy dubstep, listen to Ready, Set by Parametic. The drop on it is absolutely amazing! .____.

Is it bad that the only dubstep I know about is the dubstep remixes of songs I loike that my friends have otten me into? And that I still don't really know wht it means except really fast techno-y stuff that people can make seizure-inducing vids to?

Dubstep is basically taking any sort of track (it doesn't have to be a song, I was just listening to a track that had used parts of the new DmC trailer) and adding a background bass line, trebles and such. The one thing people look for in a Dubstep track is the drop, the drop is where the song sort of waters out and seems rather tame, it builds up slightly, then it drops into a really heavy bass line.
The song I posted is a perfect example of a heavy drop ^_^

TTDMD always post up awesome Dubstep tracks, but Parametic are their most popular artist so far :')
And Neku, it is cool as hell, I plan on looking into Dubstep some more when I get a better system :3

Dubstep's fairly new to me. Never heard of it or the appeal of it.

I'm not much of a fan of dubstep, just some remixes of some songs I like. My view is kind of like yours, N. I don't really like it, but I try and listen to it anyway.
