Okay, guys. I now have a new obsession. It's a band called "Aston", they're currently selling two albums right now, and their dedication is "classical"-style covers of pop music. Now, I don't know about you, but if someone had told ME that, my answer would've been, "Well, I guess they could.... try... but really, how boring would that be?" I would've been wrong. One of my friends was involved in an MEP using one of their covers, Katy Perry's ET, to be exact, and... I fell in LOVE. A beautiful, dramatic, sweeping rendition of what is normally a catchy-like-herpes, overly repetitive pop song that somehow you can't help but love anyway. They took it, and they turned it into a work of art.I've just spent the past... I dunno, fifteen, twenty mintues listening to more of their covers and renditions via their official site (they allow you to listen to their whole album on their website for free, but you can onlly download the tracks with purchase) and I'm afraid that I am now obsessed. astonmusic.bandcamp.com/album/astonHere - that's their debut album. "ET" is the last track, but their others are just as wonderful, I will tell you right now. I want this album. Plus? Their new album, "Monster Symphony", is a collection of Gaga tracks arranged classically, and I can't wait to go listen to what they've done with those. I'm geeking out right now. This is.... <3333333 SO PRETTTYYYYY~~~~~

Can I say thank you for sharing this? It's AMAZING. I never would consider those songs (most of them) pretty until hearing this. I think I'm hooked now. ET is my favorite.
