He smiled, internally thanking every lucky star he knew of, plus Tifa, for teaching him how to dance. He wasn't exactly sure he could learn; he knew Neku had two left feet, at least. Thankfully, though, he'd turned out a decent learner, and he guided Aya around like a... well, a decent dancer. Which was good.

It really surprised me that he was a good dancer, a really good dancer. I almost forgot that everyone else was here with us.
As the dance concluded, I parted from him and did a tiny bow for the sake of it, smile still on my face. "Didn't expect that."

He laughed. "Neither did I, honestly. Guess it comes from my naturally good balance or something..." He ran his hand through his hair nervously. "You weren't too bad, yourself."

I nod, "Yes she was... Although you are wrong about me... I'm not veru strong at all... I can't stand on my own two feet by myself to save my life." I laugh a little at my joke. "And you, a man whom is unthreatened by strong women... You must be very well balanced then... Your feet say so as well."

Riku had had enough. Even though Darla couldn't care what happened to Namine, he could shake the feeling the person she was dancing with was BAD news.
"Darla, I'll be right back. I have some business to take care of."

(Dar)
I let Riku go, but I do en up glaring at his back. The Princess can take care of herself, why am I the only one who can see this?! Letting out a frusterated sigh I slip off to go out and into the falling night. Maybe the Veil will be open and I can get a drink to go or something...
I hate my cousin.
She takes everything.

"I didn't do terribly for someone whose never danced before huh?" My smile grew wider and I couldn't help it. I took a few small steps closer to Lea. I had no idea what I wanted to do in that moment. All I knew is that this moment seemed perfect and nothing could ruin it.

He grinned back, put his arm around her; it just felt right.
"Not at all! I don't think I did all that bad for my first attempt, either," he replied to her, grinning.

I pulled away from him slightly with a disbelieving look.
"That was your first time dancing? Liar." I smiled and leaned against him. He was so warm, so... I don't know. I just felt so comfortable there.

I grinned, leaned my chin gainst the top of her head. There are some perks to being a halfer - like being taller than people.
"Nope. That was my first time dancing for real. I guess you could say I had a good teacher... and a better partner."

I lightly shoved him but not enough that'd he move too much, I was too comfortable to want him to move.
"You are still a liar." I laughed lightly and closed my eyes. This felt right.

He closed his too, just taking in the warmth and the scent of having someone else next to him; it wasn't a feeling he was used to, but it was a feeling he could get used to.
"Am not," he said, laughing a little. "Am not."

I managed to stop laughing for a bit and wrapped my arms around him. "Alright fine, you're not! Whatever you say!"

I was a little shocked when I finally wandered over to the other end of the dancefloor to see Lea and Aya sharing a moment; usually Lea was the light-hearted flirt, and not much more, and Aya didn't seem the type at all.
But they seemed pretty serious, so I decided not to bother them; instead, I wandered over to the snack tables; I noticed Nami was dancing with someone else, but I decided not to borther them either; it wasn't until I got to my destination that Irecognized the unease I had over the tall, dark stranger.
He was out of focus, somehow, as if he weren't quite there. Illusion of some kind. I shook my head.
It was an Otherborn party. If some jerk wanted to make himself look prettier than he was, let him. I shouldn't be getting this overprotective. I closed my eyes. Something about him... heck, about Angel, too, come to think of it... was provoking me.
Heh. Jealousy. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd get all jealous over someone. I left them alone.

Aqua sighed when she didn't get an answer, she just pulls away from Shizuo and says, "Can you... Can you wait for me at my house?" She pulls out what looks like a new key. "I'm sure I can trust you with a copy of this... I want to talk with you more... But..."
She looks off in the distance where both Angel and Darla went, "I need to do something first... I only wanted to come long enough to have some fun and get something out of the way... She needs to know, it may save her..." Aqua places the key into the blond's hand.
"You don't have to stay, just know my home is always yours as well... Especially if you need to get away from trying to do something stupid," With that she slips back into the party. And when she sees what her target is doing she growls to herself, "What the hell is wrong with her? Can't she tell that's a demon too!" Her motherly instincts kicking in full force as she places her mask back on and marches over to the hostess and her dance partner, getting there before Riku can.
"May I cut in?" She asks the dark haired man as she motions to Namine. "There is something that I think Namine should check out in the woman's bathroom."
