Part of Aqua had wondered why she had asked that, she hates doing stuff like this in public, to the point where she had only danced with Dia one, in the rain and late at night. But another part of her felt happy and refreshened to know that Shizuo wanted to dance with her. She smiles encouragingly and whispers, "Thank you."
She then giggles nervously, "Soooooo formal dancing then?" And smiles brightly despite her urge to bolt and hide in a corner. "With holding hands and stuff?" She would be willing to admit her dance with Dia may have been formal, but it had been cut short by her catching a cold and being rushed home. The only thing she seriously remembers from the experience is dancing in the rain equals a b-a-d head cold.

"Is there really any other way?" he asked with a slight chuckle as he placed a hand on her waist. "I apologize in advance if I step on your foot or anything though..." he muttered as he gingerly pulled her closer to him, raising the arm that held her hand and flashing her a small smile. It had been a fair while since he had last danced, but all the same, he couldn't decide whether or not he was going to be as he had been at that dance...
He had a significant height advantage over Aqua, but all the same, he could grasp her as he needed to for the dance and couldn't help but smile as he took the lead, moving his feet in and body in time to the music.

"I won't mind," Aqua sighs as she places her hand his chest, his shoulder a little out of her comfortable reaching range at the moment. And then she smiles as they dance together.

The dance was slow and steady. Shizuo wasn't a perfect dancer, but he wasn't terrible either. He couldn't help but smile down at Aqua and her blue hair and eyes behind her mask, he couldn't help but smile, it amazed him how one person could change someone so grandly. His inner demons had receded after the mysterious figure had left but all the same, he was still a little shaky after the burst of adrenaline, he looked down at Aqua "Can I ask you a question? Apart from this one of course.." he said, preparing to face a second demon of his.

"You don't have to answer..." he said solemnly "But what was he like? Dia, I mean..." he looked down at her. He had spent so long striving to be better than a man he didn't even know, the way she talked about him though, he seemed more like a man he should strive to emulate, not best.

"Dia?" Aqua blinks in slight confusion and her head sucks a little while she frowns to herself a short moment. When she looks back up she's smiling. ''Well, since you asked..."
She takes a pause to carefully pick out her words, her thoughts attempting to arrange themselves in chronological order, "Well, for starters, he was always a little extra protective of me and the little one, erm, Angel..." She frowns a quick moment at the name before continuing. "He... He had a kindness unlike any other demon I have met, he saved... Angel... from abuse, y'know?"
Her tone is slowly becoming charmed and loving, "He always stood up for the weak and protected the small... Even if it could of gotten him killed, even when his..." Her voice catches as if the next words would cause her personal harm, but she forces herself to push forward. "Even when his father threatened us, threatened me..." She takes another moment to gather her thoughts once more.
"He was strong as well, stronger than the... The poison he spawned from, his love was endless. And he... Well, Dia had a... Had a way with everyone. He was always giving people the benefit of the doubt and handing out second chances when most would just shun the person, where even I would of said no..."
"But he was obsessed too," Her tone grows dark.
Aqua frowns again, "He wanted so... So very badly... To be human... To no longer be an embodiment of evil. He always said though he may seemed tamed, he's still wild on the inside, that nothing could completely destroy his internal instincts... No matter how large his love was... His self hatred was that much larger." An involuntary tremor runs through her body and her eyes close against the the sudden rage she felt through against her body. Even if its just a self made illusion. "The reason I ran away was that. I wasn't ashamed or scarred of him or anything like that. It was because I loved him that much."
Her voice suddenly growing in strength, "So in love that I wanted to be the mother of his children... This thought scarred him more than anything now that I look back on it and maybe he didn't hate the idea, he just acted like he did. But either way that was our first and only fight we had. It... It made me worried and well... He said..."
Her eyes open and she feels like crying, but she holds back the shimmering tears, "He said that the children would be his personal hell... That they would have to hide and never be normal..."
Her voice grows angry, "He said any children of his would be monsters like he was!"
Her head is shaking now and she's fighting back tears of anger now, "Our only fight ever and... He trusted me... Trusted us... But I couldn't get... I ran... And then..." Suddenly she stops and furiously shakes her head, clearing it. She then clears her throat and finishes with, "He was wonderful, loving, caring, trusting, and loyal to the end..."
She looks down and takes a deep breath, blinking back her tears, and the she looks up at Shizuo. And she smiles, even if forced, and says, "Why do you ask?"
