I watched Darla's movements. It was like a graceful swan if she were human. "Alright, here I go." I mimicked Darla's movements and spun her around like she did with me. "Good enough?" I smiled.

I had quietly entered the hall and went to sit down at a table not far from the dance floor. It was strange to see everyone looking so.... Happy. Usually this town is a desolate place where everyone's problems build up and fall down on them at the worst moments.
Mind you that I'm not complaining, far from it. After sitting down at a table I removed my black and red mask and adjusted my long, black dress. Well, here's hoping tonight is fun. I raised my glass slightly to the people on the dance floor and took a small sip.

Of course, where light goes, darkness follows. This time, it blew in with the wind, a tall stranger whose mask hid his face enough to prevent recognition. His hair was black, but he could have been anyone. He was shadow, he was grace - liquid and calm and serene as he stepped into the room; many noticed him, turned their heads to him. Like Neku, he wore a long coat without sleeves, but this one reached his ankles and clung tightly around his chest; beneath it, his sleeves were long and flowed, gathered back up again at his wrists. It was a simple design, but it was enhanced by silver embroidery that caught every spare color of light, shining with the luminescence of a prism as other costumes were reflected in them. The designs were intricate, silver foxes running and laughing across the coat's every inch, with several tails embroidered along its back. The mysterious man's mask was a black fox's face with silver inlays, and small red markings within its ears, tied on with a black-and-silver ribbon. |

Shiki walked in, her entrance not turning heads like the man that had stepped in before her. The dress she wore was a soft lavender color. Her mask matched it, with sequins creating a border on the edges. She glanced at the man out of the corner of her eye. Something about him...bothered her? She looked away and spied Aqua, and made her way over to her.

One of the heads that turned was my own. He looked quite dashing, that much was certain. He had an air of mystery and intrigue. Another small sip of my drink and I watched him again, his movements were familiar but not enough for me to place his identity.
Who was he?

With Shiki approaching her, Aqua puts on her best smile. The girl looked lovely tonight and much better dressed for this type of thing. What was Aqua thinking when she made such a feathery outfit.
She nods to the red head, "Hello, Shiki."

Shiki smiled to Aqua, "Hi." She gave a small wave, then said, "Nice costume." She looked around at the hall, and then turned back to Aqua. "How's everything going?"

Lea's attention was momentarily distracted by the two lovebirds when he saw Aya sitting at a table, simply watching the dance. Of course, he couldn't allow that to happen; everyone had to dance at least sometime!
He gave Neku a wink and a thumbs up, then left his best friend sputtering behind him as he walked over.
"Hey there, Aya," he said, flashing her a devilish grin. "Care for a dance?"

"I'm okay... And the party seems to be getting off to a full swing," She smiles bigger to Shiki. "Say... Did you invite a date here?" She hopes she won't be the only girl with out a date. That would be the inverse of her senior prom when her two best friends had taken her.

"Glad I'm not late." She shook her head, "No I came myself. I hope I wasn't supposed to." She smiled at Aqua, "What about you? Catch anyone's eye lately?"

Aqua felt herself smile almost dreamily as a blush creeps onto her face, she nods, "Uh-huh." Shizuo. The man whom got her on her feet again and is teaching her its alright to be herself. Yeah... Him.

Shiki clasped her hands in front of her excitedly. Her eyes were bright, "Aqua that's great! I'm so happy for you!" Aqua's expression made her feel even better; the mother deserved some happiness. She giggled, "Maybe he'll show up tonight if we're lucky."

Aqua flushes more and nods again, "I... I guess." Her head ducks down so her bangs can kind of cover he closed eyes. "... I mean... I mean I thinks so."
