Well, hello there, all. First art in a while - and this one's a doozy.
It started off as some reference practice. I've been obsessing over Joshua since I played TWEWY, and with him in the new KH3D trailer.... SQUEE~ So I wanted to draw him. SO I took a screencap of him from the trailer, and started marking up his basic anatomy. I worked on three layers, each layer was a different level of detail and a differenct color. When I removed the bottom, 'anatomy' layer, I blinked.
Oh my god. This looks like the start of a finished drawing.
So... I used GIMP's "Colorize" feature to make the lines look like actual color holds, and I started coloring. Along the way, I did the details on his face in black (I'm thinking about softening those lines or something...) and... well, it took off from there.
And there are still two layers of the original tracework visible; they're the brown and blue outlines you se on his face/hair and clothing.
What do you think? Pretty snazzy, eh?
