Ghost Rider roared and began swinging his flail, the hellfire burning any demon in his way to ashes. His swings were controlled though, there were people here, he couldn't swing wild or they would get hurt.

(Sorry, guys. I need to wrap this up.)
Sin stood back within the shadows, watching the Crossing play out. It had been a while since he’d done something like this, and he was enjoying it. Since the Ghost Rider was trailing him now, he had to be careful of how he stepped out and did his work. Tonight, though, everything was going fine. He watched his niece and smirked. Yes, he had been right indeed…
“Sin.” The demon turned his head at the sound of his name, only to see one of his followers beside him. He was dressed in dark clothing, a hood pulled over his face, “Time is short and I’m afraid we’re coming to the end of our limit.” Sin nodded, “So it seems. It is unfortunate, but it can’t be helped. You know the procedure.” The hooded man nodded and disappeared, and Sin stepped out and through the flaming circle.
Shiki felt his presence. He had never left; she would have been able to tell. The question was where exactly was he? It was hard to tell when she had to concentrate on not getting shredded to pieces. She jumped back from another demon and realized…she was trapped in. To anyone fighting off the demons, it would’ve just looked like a demon was blocking her out of their sight. But they had closed her in a half circle, the wall of fire burning behind her. What was going on?
Something grabbed her arm and pulled her back. She looked up and came face to face with Sin, her eyes widening in fear. In one swift motion he pulled up her jacket sleeve and took a hold of her wrist. Darkness swirled around his hand, flickering like fire and on contact Shiki cringed with pain. Any shout that she made was covered by a demon’s roar. It burned into her skin, and coursed through her blood with a shock. He leaned down to her ear and whispered, “You cannot run forever, Shiki. In the end fate will claim you, without your consent.” He let her go, and she collapsed to ground. Then he leaned back into the flaming wall, and disappeared this time for good.
Shiki couldn’t move. Her eyes were shut tight, and she was unconsciously cradling her wrist against her. The sounds of reality were blurred, and instead all she could hear were the sounds of her memory. Arguing, crying, screaming…and dark laughter. They threatened to overwhelm her, and just when she couldn’t take it anymore…it stopped.
Reality rushed back, and she opened her eyes. Her whole body ached, but she stood up and stole a glance at her wrist. At first she could have sworn she saw something, but it either faded or it was just her eyes playing tricks on her. Considering her luck, it was probably the former. It didn’t even look like he’d burned her; her skin was perfectly fine. Had he actually burned her? She didn’t know.
When Shiki looked up again at the battlefield the demons had scattered, but not for long. The fire quickly broke from the ring and went after the demons, taking care of all that remained. Just like that the fire went out, leaving nothing more than a smoke that cleared away and left everything in silence.
