Shiki was pissed.
The call she'd gotten the day before had been from the hospital. The news made her want to punch through her wall. They'd lost her medical records, which meant she needed to come and get her check up retaken. Which meant she had to go back to the place. And knowing that...it didn't help her at all. So as she checked in and sat down in one of the chairs, she was uncomfortable and slightly panicking. What the hell did I do to deserve this? She waited nervously for her name.

The incompetence of some people.
*Avi growls under their breath and slams down the file one Shiki Misaki.*
Honestly! It protocol to do them not only on the computer, but by hand as well. To always have a back up!
*The doctor furiously flips through the file that tells them what they basically need to know. Noting a small, hand written note on one of the corners of the paper, they sigh.*
Doesn't like the hospital? Poor gal... Might as well go get her myself.
*Saying that Avi does, walking out and into the waiting room. Looking around while tapping her/his foot.*
Is a Shiki Misaki here?

At her name she looked up, her dreading of the moment now the present. Don't freak out. Silently Shiki stood up and made her way over to the doctor who had called her name. It was easy to see that she was defensive, her body tensed as if waiting for someone to attack or preparing to run for her life. She stopped in front of the doctor, "Um...hi."

*Avi offers Shiki a seat in a chair or on the "table" whichever she preferred, the room is thoroughly cleaned between each visit*

Shiki took a seat in a chair, crossing her arms and leaning back. "Well, I was told that my records went missing. So I have to have my check up redone..." Otherwise I'd be far from here. She shifted in her seat, it was impossible to get comfortable it seemed.

She nods and does as the doctor says, breathing deeply and calmly. The more she cooperated the faster she'd get out of there. She noted the nickname and said nothing of it. Nicknames never really bothered her.

She watched the doctor, defensiveness kicking in again. Was it wrong for her to be normal? No, as far as she knew. "Alright." Shiki almost asked what the problem was, but kept quiet. No need to start anything...

Dirty? A good tune up? Shiki stared at the doctor, now extremely alert. Was she-er he...She actually couldn't tell the gender of the doctor. Did it matter though? Whoever this was sounded crazy. Just another reason to add to the list on why she hated this place; the doctors are insane. "Care to explain a little more?" She was tense, ready to bolt if she had to.
