Backstory: Genesis is the result of Jenova Project G. The Scientist who started this project hoped to give him the power of a being known as Jenova. When his project resulted as a failure, he was given to a wealthy farmer in the town of Banora, where he befriended two boys, Angeal and Sephiroth. It was in Banora he discovered his obsession, a poem called LOVELESS. He is quickly captivated, and tries to find its meaning. In doing so, he quotes the poem obsessively, compulsively, naturally.
A fight with his friend Sephiroth wounded him, which triggered a response in his body to begin degrading, slowly withering away. Genesis becomes desperate to save his body, to finish analyzing LOVELESS, and to receive the "gift of the goddess." (mentioned in the poem).
After this fight, he leaves Banora. He finds himself in the town of Urbadelphia, looking for a way to restore his body. He has recently become involved in fighting off the Crossings as something to do, as he tries to find a scientist who can help him. He is aware of the Demons, but not of his existence as a Halfer. But something about the town keeps him there, no matter how much he considers leaving. He believes the "gift of the goddess" is leading him to this town, that he can find help there. So he remains...
Personality Traits: Genesis is almost always laid-back. He approaches everything in a calm manner, and sometimes treats situations as play. But he also has a mild... bipolar-tendency. But mostly to mess with enemies. But as he feels himself degrading and decaying, his true emotions are becoming more and more apparent. His learning of his adoption leads to feelings of betrayal, and makes him hesitant to trust. He is unaware that he is a science experiment, but knows something is wrong with him... He begins being troubled. He doesn't open up to people easily... But finds solace in LOVELESS, the poem he carries with him like it was his very own life. But he does take great pride in his appearance, and abilities. Don't be surprised to hear some gloating.
Powers/Abilities: Genesis has a single black wing, which he uses to fly. He is an exceptional swordsman. He has a red rapier which he prefers to use.
His other powers come from orbs known as Materia, which grant him exceptional abilities in things such as elemental magic, healing, summoning, and various other things. His preference is Fire magic, and summoning creatures to toy with his enemies.
