Here's a little fic that was bugging me earlier today. It started off when I was listening to Jar of Hearts and an idea popped into my mind; it ended up kind of snowballing into this.
There is one issue.
The entire plot of the fic hinges on the major twist at the end of TWEWY involving... certain characters. If you have not played TWEWY to the very ending, THE LAST CUTSCENE, I cannot stress how important it is that you NOT READ THIS FIC.[/u][/i]
It's the best-executed twist I've ever seen.

As you can see from the character listings, it's actually a Joshua/Rhyme oneshot. Don't ask me where the pairing came from - I have no clue. The two characters don't ever actually meet in-game, although certain implications exist that... well. I can't say much more without giving everything away.
And Joshua is way too cool for that.
The fic also makes some references to events in the Secret Reports, as well as what Rhyme's fee was implied to be during the game. Again, I cannot tell you any more than that.
