The CIA was on this situation quick, faster than the Network, which was shocking how quick the CIA moved. They secured the area and prevented any local officers from getting in, however that seemed to be the only thing they were doing. The head officer was none other than codename "Crimson Viper", her first orders on scene?
"Round up any Otherborn from the Network and bring them here. Time for them to pay their dues."
C. Viper always believed in using the tools available, and the Network were tools...flimsy ones, comprised of people who are only there as long as it's there. Their weak compromise with the United Nations kept them from waltzing in and capturing every Otherborn in existence. But no, the Otherborns have earned a free ride from the law.
There's no such thing as a free ride. As she intended to show them.
The vans showed up, doors opened and she turned to them.
"These are the ones you rounded up?" she asked her team, they nodded and she turned to them.
"So, you're all a part of the Network or have a connection to them."

I kept my head low as the strange woman talked. I made sure not to say anything and stared at the floor. So much for doing my own thing today. Never a moment's peace in Urbadelphia though.
I glanced up at her when she began to speak to us. She talked about the network and I checked around to see if anyone from the network was here. I saw a few familiar faces from the meeting a few weeks earlier. They mumbled amongst themselves and I moved from foot to foot. "And what if we don't?" I said as confident as I could make myself sound "What if we are in a 'wrong place at the wrong time' situation?" Maybe I could get away with it?
