It was a standard day upon Zerca. Well standard for Riona at least. His red hair in its normal spikiness and his carmel, brown eyes glowing with mischief. Today he's wearing a creme hoodie and tight jeans, his beast inside him curling in slight delight.
Today would be the day he would finally get Xanto to kiss him! It will be! His toes curl as he lays low on top of a hill, skipping his senior classes as usual to stalk his younger mate. All is silent in the school yard of the high school. Not even a single bug is beating its wings, that is until a loud--
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNG!!! Issues and all the students come pouring out, Xanto in the lead, his attire normal for a school day and blue eyes searching. He knows that Ri had skipped school today and is going to grill him about it when he---
"Umph!" Xanto goes down as one hundred and fourty two pounds comes falling down on him. He growls out through his teeth as he hears happy laughter above him. "What the hell, Riona?''
Riona's laughter turns into a fit of rather girly giggles as he falls off of his mate and barely mutters an "ow'' when he hits the hard ground. But when he finally comes around he looks up to see a rather annoyed Xanto watching him from above, ''He To-to~." Xanto raises a brow and Riona giggles once more. ''Sorry, that's what I call you in class..."
The annoyance turns into a frustrated sigh as Xanto holds out a hand to help him bearer up. Ri takes it and is dragged to his feet. A lecture is about to endure, the young bearer can tell, and he places a finger on the giver's lips, "Just a moment, Xan.'' He moves in closer and leans up against his mate and flashes his K-9 at a passing by group of bearers.
The bearers frown and one glares as they continue onward. Riona would never admit to it, but he's sometimes insecure that Xanto would deny the mateship bound and would go for some nicer bearer, one who would always listen to him and never caused him trouble. And that, that is the reason why he really badly wants to push along the whole kiss thing. He desperately wants to be marked by his mate, even if it means that he'll get attacked by other givers. It doesn't matter, he wants to know that Xanto won't leave him ever...
Like his life-giver did to his life bearer.
Xanto frowns at Riona's actions a moment before smirking and saying in a teasing tone, "My Riona... Are you jealous?"
Riona flushes and shakes his head fiercily, "Na... NO!" He crosses his arms over his chest as he backs away. "Naw... Those bearers have just been staring at cha a lot lately..."
Riona turns his nose up into the air and his foot itches to stomp as he wants to shout out that its not fair, that Xanto belongs to only him. But instead he controls his childish wants and smirks back up to Xanto, "I'm just holding my own like any tough, big, manly bearer would." He nods to himself and smiles.
Xanto just keeps on smirking as he throws an arm around his mate's shoulders causing the bearer to blush, "You mean acting like a dramabearer, right?"
"Hey!" Ri pout glares and scuffs his shoes as they walk. "Not true! I am so not a dramabearer."
"Yeah, sure~" Xan pokes Ri's curved side and laughs a little. "Just keep telling yourself that."
"But I'm not," The bearer whines as he is lead to Xanto's study tree in a nearby park. ''And we should do something f-u-n~ today~"
Xanto drops his bag and sits with his back against the tree, his books pulled out a moment later and he responds softly as he opens them, "Like what?''
"Like not study!" Riona says excitedly as he plops down next to Xanto and leans against him. "Like we should... Explore!''
Xanto closes his book, not really wanting to study right now anyways, and turns to his mate with a spark in his eye, ''Explore what, Ri?"
"Well I... Um... Erm..." Riona takes a quick breath before. "We've been going steady since like what? We were in pre-school together? And you still... You still... You still haven't kissed me yet."
Xanto can hear the hurt in his mate's voice and his heart clenches as he pulls Riona against him, "...Riona..." His voice soft and soothing as he holds his mate, trying to cure him of his pain. But that doesn't help, not in the least. The attempt makes Riona get angry, extremely so, and he lashes out, shoving Xan down.
"Is it someone else? Is there someone else Xanto? Tell me! Tell everything!!" The bearer is acting upon Zercan instinct and is frightened and hurt, but most of all he can see the hurt on his mate's face. He yearns to make that go away. But as long as he has his doubts he can't. "Answer me dammit!" His voice turning into a snarl and he glares.
Xanto stares up at his mate as he feels him shaking above him and the body of the red head is quaking, shivering, changing. Suddenly hands aren't holding him, but paws. Clenched teeth become WAY more dangerous, and the snarls? Must more nerve wrecking, but Xanto just shakes his head, "How could you think that, Ri?" His hands move up to embrace his mate in a loving embrace, his hands grasping their shaking form and he just holds Riona. "I love you, I love you, I you so much!" Xan keeps saying that as he lets the bearer calm down slowly.
The large cat lets out a soft rumble of happiness as it lays down and rests its body upon its mate's, I love you too, Xanto. The giver pulls back and rests his hands a moment and smiles up to his calmed mate. I love you more than... More than everything!
Xan's eyes meet Ri's and keep focusing on them as his mate leans forward. Their noses touch and the scene closes on their loving moment.
