Okay...I'm just going to warn you now, this is the result of a random Skype conversation I had with Neku and Namine one night and the evil plot bunnies have been chewing on me for weeks since then until I've decided to do this.

It was another night for Riku, slaying demons with his best friend Sora but as things went on Riku couldn't help but feel a certain kinship with the youth. He had started developing strong feelings for him and everytime Riku saw Sora it made his heart skip a couple of beats. He tried to convince himself that it was just a sort of warrior's bond he had with him due to the fact that he practically spent every night fighting with him side by side as they fought the demons that besieged the city of Urbadelphia.
Riku was never much for having a relationship with women or was attracted to them much at all. They just never gave him the same feeling that Sora gave him each time they talked or when they fought. Riku always thought he was hetrosexual due to the fact that girls always swarmed over him but these days he knew that was no longer the case, it took awhile for him to process the revelation that he was in fact: A Homosexual.
"But does Sora feel the same way?" Riku asked himself when he got back home late one night, it was another one of those brawls he and Sora got into. "Who knew there was honor among demons?" Riku said as he began to patch himself up. As he began his work Riku thought back to a conversation he had with him all those many years ago...
(Flashback)
"Sora, have you ever had feelings for anyone?" Riku asked one day while he and Sora were at lunch. "Yeah, I like you and Kairi. Your my best friends!" Sora said as he flashed a grin. Riku mentally faceplamed. "No Sora, I mean like, like?" Sora cocked his head to the side. "Well, no really. I mean I like Kairi and all but not in the way you say." Riku smiled a little. "Well don't think too hard about it. They say the one your meant to be with could be right under your nose."
(End Flashback)
Riku didn't think too much of it back then but as he thought back on it he wondered if Sora took his advice. Just then he heard a knock at the door. "Who's there?" Riku said. "It's me Riku." "Oh! Come on in Sora!" Riku said happily. Sora walked in and twittered his thumbs. "Riku, remember what you told me that day? About that special someone being right under my nose?" He asked. Riku turned his brow up. "Yeah?" He said motioning for Sora to go on.
"Well...I think I found him." "Him? Are you saying that your homosexual?" Sora shuffled his feet. "Yeah." Sora said sheepishly. "Well don't keep me in suspense, who is it?" Riku said with a smile. "Well, it's you Riku." Sora said with a low voice. As Sora said those words Riku's heart soar to levels unimaginable. "But I thought you liked Shiki."
"No, she liked me but I wasn't attracted to her. Think about it Riku, Who was always by my side when I needed it? Who always made me feel better when others wouldn't?" Sora said. "I was." Riku muttered. "That's right Riku. My soul may be damned but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy what time I have left." Sora said as tears welled up in his eyes. "Would you be my boyfriend?" Riku asked. "Sure Riku, and you can be mine." Sora said as he and Riku shared in a hug and kiss. "Let's grab some dinner and tell Shiki the news." Riku said with a smile. "Alright Riku, with you by my side I can handle anything." Sora said as he took Riku's hand.
"Let's go." He said. True life was hard to these two young men and no doubt there would be more hard times in store for the two of them but as long as they had each other they knew they would triumph.
After all, They belonged together.
