The Labyrinth
Hair braided back and my coat covers up the holster (A/N: is that correct?) that holds my lovely dagger along with a note book and a couple pens. Around my neck hangs a set of binoculars and they rest rest on my chest as I climb up a fire escape to reach a roof top. I'll have to start with the wide open, not that I think someone who acted like... that would be in the open...
"You look distraught," he said in a soothing voice.
A shiver runs down my spine. I need to stop remembering him. He keeps poping up in my head and I'm sure there is a reason for it. "I never remember anything happy, not while I'm awake, not while I'm asleep... So something has to be up with this guy." Call me stupid, call me full of myself, you can even call me desperate to be vain once more, but you can never call me unmotivated at least.
"Are you alright? You're the hostess of this beautiful party, no?"
"Yes... I am," I respond to this dark stranger, oddly comforted by his presence. "And I'm a little put out about men right now is all..." Should I explain to him what's going on? Well the basics of it.
He smiled. "Ahhh, yes, I understand. I've had my share of problems with other members of my gender... would talking about it help?"
His voice was gentle, kind.
Sighing I pull myself onto the roof top and look out a crossed the space there with a frown. What do I expect from looking around from up here anyways? This is a stupid idea. I should go home... But...
"Why don't you dance with me for a while?" he asked playfully. "Show both of them a thing or two... you're your own woman. Yes... a very strong woman. But sometimes even strong women need someone else to lead for a while, hmmm? A man who will flow with the dance, rather than either control or submit..."
And something inside me went click.
I nod.
This is perfect.
Just a chance to fully let go and forget myself. He seems like a proper gentleman... I feel I can trust him, "That would be very kind of you. Yes, please... Lets."
Trust.
I felt I could trust him.
That's what this is all about after all... How can I trust someone whom is now rubbing me in all the wrong ways... Including in attraction.
I sit on the far away edge, its over looking a sort of busy street, my legs kicking as I watch through my binoculars. Softly I hum and sort of sing a song under my breath (A/N: Mr. James Dean by Hilary Duff).
He nodded, led her out to the door. His movements were graceful, almost too graceful to be real. His mask rendered all but his faint smile a blank, but it didn't seem to matter... it was almost as if Namine could see beneath the mask, the face of a kind stranger, black hair falling and framing a young, handsome face... longish black hair. Tied back... yes, she could see the ponytail swish as they turned. Long, and lanky, but not so tall that it was difficult to dance with him. Simply the perfect height, only a little taller than she. His grip was firm as he led her through the steps.
I had to say he is a wonderful dancer and amazing too. I'll live in the moment and take what I can get, besides... Spinning like this calms me down. Soon I find myself relaxing, "Thank you."
Yes, I should of seen it then. Almost too perfect. He was too perfect, no one exists like that in reality which means only one thing... He exists in our world, the world filled with Otherbeings. He's either one of us or one of them...
I need to find out which...
I need to find out his motives...
I'll find him out even if its the last thing I--
"Ugh," My hand comes to my side and clenches as I rock a little. Thankfully stop that after a moment, then I reach into my jean's pocket and pull out, funnily enough, the last of Neku's Advil. I actually have an excuse to be out and about if we run into each other... Or if I run into anyone else. My shoulders shrug as I take them dry. "...Wish I had the usual... All well." After a few minutes I can go back to my searching through the binoculars.
I just hope I can find a lead... If not... I'll have to get down as start asking about him on foot... I'll start with Lea though...
*one hour passes*
Grumbling I get up and go for the fire escape. Seems as if I'll have to go find Lea after all. Hope he's working right now, he works at Veil, -right?- otherwise I won't be able to find him unless I ask him manager... Or call Neku, not a choice... He'd get all weird I'm sure.
I can hear him now, worried that I'm trying to find a--- Or would only Angel do that? No, no... Don't concern yourself with it... Just walk.
Sighing I head off in the direction needed... Sighing the whole way...
---
Okay, Miri... I'm really hoping we can actually do this XD its about damn time Nami started "stalking" (more like fawning after) Izaya~<3 What do you think?
