"Well, I'm not exactly an expert either so you don't have to worry about that!" He smiled slightly before continuing "I guess we could fulfill the stereotype, you know, go see a film, pack some food, go have a picnic under a tree in a field somewhere." His posture had relaxed since Dori had disappeared, it wasn't so much that he was scared he'd come off as a bad person to the kid, it was more just that he had never been good around children. Still, he seemed pretty mature for his age so he didn't need to worry about that apparently.
"Or!" He exclaimed, continuing his earlier point "I can kick Kasuka out of the apartment for a bit, we can order some take-out and I can grab a couple of DVD's, and we can just have a nice comfortable night in. I'd prefer that. I'm less likely to throw someone at the screen..." He smiled slightly, almost as if he was telling a joke... He wasn't... It had happened before.

"I prefer the second as well... But you've gotta remember... I have Dori to keep an eye on as well," Her words spoken softly and in a tone normally reserved for only when she's speaking to her children or... Shiki.

"Hmm... True, true..." He glanced again at the bathroom door. "He's been gone a while..." He stated, looking across at Aqua "Do you want me to go and check on him, or something?"

Shizuo gave a smile "I offered, didn't I?" he gave her a wink and leaned over to give her a kiss on the cheek before standing up, plunging his hands into his pockets and walking towards the bathroom. Pushing the door aside, he stepped in and gave a brief glance around. Catching no initial sight of Dori he called out "Midori?" He decided to use the kids full name in case 'Dori' was something for his friends only. He didn't want to get off on the wrong foot.

The door opens and I think nothing of it, you have to go around this half wall to see me at the other end of the restroom below the windows. "Midori?" Oh eff my life, I send a deadly glare in the direction of the half wall.
"What?" My voice coming out a little more uneven than I planned it to.

Shizuo turned his head to the voice, a small half-wall nearby. The voice sounded wavery, was Midori upset? God he hoped not. That would be one hell of an awkward situation. "Your mo-" He cut himself off, he decided telling the kid that his mom was worried about him might be a bit patronizing. God. That meant he was going to have to be more direct... "You okay in here?" He called out, making out that he wasn't sure where he was hiding, he should at least let him have that small victory.

Shizuo took a deep and calming breath, this was not going to be easy... He had to choose his words carefully and spoke through gritted teeth "Listen, Midori. I only came in here to check on you. Just say yes or no. If you're gonna' pretend to be a hardass, I'm going to lose my temper." He resiste the temptation to say he wouldn't like him when he was angry, but he didn't want to add any cheese to the situation, besides, from the sounds of things, he didn't like him anyway!

I open my mouth, shut it and then push off the wall and walk towards the door. One glance a mirror shows me that I need to calm down before I return to my... My eyes are red now, shit. But I do end up standing in front of him, "I'm fine... But you don't really care, I'm not your child, not you concern... But I repeat, I'm onto you... You may have noble intentions, but so does every other man that my mother gushes about... I would be rather ecstatic if you allowed me to take my leave." Why am I picking a fight? That's Sini's job.

Shizuo didn't move from in front of the door. One guy tried opening the door fro outside, and upon failing to open it fully, poked his head around to see Shizuo an Midori standing off. He quickly ducked away to the other side of the door. "Listen, Midori." Shizuo said, narrowing his eyes. "You did what I asked, so I'll let you go. But let me remind you of something else before you do. Just so you realize who I am." His voice's tone didn't change, he made sure he had a ring of truth on it and kept the bland expression, hoping to show that he wasn't lying. "A few years ago, there was a terrorist attack on a multi-story car park, the place was turned into rubble. It wasn't a terrorist attack, that was me, just chasing a demon through it." He stepped aside. "The guy was irritating. A bit like you, but you're Aqua's kid, and as such I feel the need to protect you rather than hurt you. I've done that already, by not throwing you through the wall. Your Mom means quite a lot to me, she just wants to make sure her kids are safe." He took his hands from his pockets and made to step through the door.
"I'm not going to hurt you. Or Sininen. Or Aqua. But if anyone else does hurt any of you? Then I'll make sure to pay them a visit." With that, he left the bathroom and walked back to their table.

I pause for exactly one minute before rolling my eyes and cracking my knuckles, "He thinks that scares me?" Before exiting with my usual bland expression and bored blue eyes. I plop down next to mom just as she was about to say something and instead she ruffles my hair, I hate when she does that, it means that she's not really paying attention to you. My eyes roll and my head goes back onto my arms, screw this.
(Aqua, yay!)
Once Midori is back by her side, the blue haired mother smiles over to Shizuo and thanks him for a second time, "I still think we should do plan B," She admits softly and her son sighs loudly.
"Guess that means I should go looking for the dumb ass, huh?"
"Midori," Aqua gives her son a sympathetic look before hugging him. "If you want to, you can come with us, or you go home if you want."
The silver haired child just pecks his mom's cheek, "Its alright, I'll leave when you do." All Aqua can do is sigh and let her more responsible child go.
"I guess this means I'll be coming over then, Shizuo."

"Great!" He said, he glanced across at Midori, hoping that his message had sunk in. He'd seen worse things happen to better people, and te last thing he wanted to do was find out that Midori had ended up joining some gang or something. Two of those gangs were at war, and people were dying because of it. God, he hated violence. Pulling out his phone, he made sure to send a text to the no doubt grumpy Kasuka.
Me and Aqua are having a night in. Are you still going out tonight? I'll pay you off with Pizza if you are.
The reply came almost instantly.
Give me 5 minutes. I'll take a meat feast please and thank you.
Shizuo smiled across at Aqua. "Well, I'm ready whenever you are!"

Aqua glances at Midori whom stands and starts to walk off, "Later love birds." He half waves with out turning around and makes his way out.
The mother sighs, "I'm ready." She stands, sorry she didn't get a chance to talk to anyone, but at least she gets to be with Shizuo today... Even if her son was being Mr. Grumpy Puss about it.

"Alright then..." Shizuo said, standing up, he brushed himself off. Hoping to whatever god existed that Kasuka had already cleared out, the last thing that he wanted right now was to have to partake in an awkward conversation with his cousin. At least whilst Aqua was there, it would probably be frowned upon to start having a shouting match with company.
