-ang. BANG!
A reptilian roar echos closely followed by a human's screams.
Drip, drip, drip.
Slurred words are uttered and tears are shed, mingling with black crimson. Hands clutch so desperately, only to be dragged away. Pounding footsteps and blurred visions.
"Let it go... He's dead."
A heart torn and more screams, this time of children. Scared, child like voices reach deaf ears.
"Do you hear me?! He's dead!"
The begging of a madden man, driven insane by his devotion and his love. Tears become sorrow.
"They need you...Dammit! Don't you give up on them!"
Sorrow becomes numbness... Numbness becomes intoxication.
"Don't look kids... Your father is ill, don't look."
Children screams become tears. Tears become hopeless. Hopeless becomes dependent.
"Its okay... I promise daddy is okay... He won't hurt you,I promise."
Dependent becomes Independent. Independence becomes fear and fear is where they stay.
"I'm sorry children... I should of told you that... That you're different."
Fear of living.
Fear of death.
Fear of hurt.
Fear of betrayal again.
Fear of themselves.
Twins huddled in each other's arms, cry at the test results. Cry together when the mate says they'll have to part. Numbness comes again. Overtaking the elder. Controlling him while consuming him. Braking his mind and corrupting his once devoted to sanity thoughts. His once clear rationality.
"You poor child... Come into my arms... I'm sorry, take my hand."
Refusal and distance. Playfulness lost to seriousness. A once happy boy caught in a deep depression and loss.
"... I promise to make it hurt less."
Promises are always broken.
Especially coming from that voice.
The voice of reason.
