Hey there, Neku here. If you're gonna be here, living your life under the threat of the OtherWorld, you're gonna need to follow some rules. Don't like 'em, you can leave.
Most of it's your standard stuff, but there's a few things you might not know, so read this little bulletin all the way through for me. The Watchers (AKA Admins, AKA me and Sora) have the right to change this stuff at any time, so check back every so often.
Rule 1: We're Otherborn, not gods. We take hits, we get knocked around. We're not invincible. So don't act like it, okay? Godmodders will be warned; if you argue with me, whine, complain, anything that's not talking like a reasonable human being, you get a strike. If you ignore me and continue, you get a strike.
Rule 2: Three strikes, you're out. If you get three strikes for the same offense, it's a one-week ban, period. This is to keep it fair and fun for everyone - it's not fun if people are ignoring the rules.
Rule 3: You control your own actions - nobody else's. You don't know what they would do, you don't know what they would say - so don't assume you do, and post for 'em. Bunnying (that's what this is called) will be warned, just like godmodding.
Rule 4: Originality - that's what we're all about. So what that we're all canons taken from somewhere else? The least you can do is be creative with it. Stretch things a little to fully integrate yourself into the OtherWorld. Get really daring and cross things over a bit. I'm not exactly the Neku from Shibuya and the Reaper's Game, so branch out a little with yourself, too.
Rule 5: Drama's fine, but don't let it affect your online fun. Seriously, we don't care if you've had a bad day and just need to vent, or whatever; that's what chat's all about. But don't take it with you into the game, and don't take the in-game stuff with you when you leave; we're all here to have fun, so don't bring yourself - or anyone else - down just 'cause your life's tough right now.
Rule 6: Register before you post. We need to evaluate your powers and background to be able to determine how you fit into this crazy world. If you don't want to put your history out in the public, that's cool, just PM one of us with the details you don't want everyone to know (or even that your character doesn't know) about you so that we can work things out.
Rule 7:Three Five characters each for now, please. C’mon, how many of us are in the world, anyway? Also, you need to let other people have a chance to play as well, and there can’t be two of the same guy running around, so leave some characters out there for new people to use.
Rule 8: Swearing; we all do it, I do a bit of it myself, but try and keep it PG-13. I don't want words like the F word and the C world running rampant all over my forum. The occasional F-bomb's okay, but seriously, try not to overdo it. It loses impact that way.
Rule 9: Have fun! Yeah, you don't get any points for it, but if you're not gonna have fun, why even join up with us? Get in there, and get cracking!
