Nero rang the small shop's doorbell, his arm slung in its cast as he whistled quietly to himself. Something was off about this place, though he couldn't quite put his finger on what - though if he did have to take a guess, he'd guess that the finger he'd place would belong to his right hand.
He sighed.
Dammit, he hated thinking in metaphors. When was the guy gonna come already?
Growling to himself, he pushed opeen the door and stepped inside.
"Hey! Anyone here? At all?"

Vergil had been going through some paperwork, something Dante didn't have the patience for, in the back of the shop when the newest visitor had arrived. The voice ringing out meant that Dante was either out on a job or somewhere in the upper level. He set down what he had been working on and made his way towards the front. "Yes, what is it that you need?" The moment Vergil laid eyes on the newest visitor as he came into the front room he was immediately struck by the similarities the newcomer had to Dante and himself. It was enough to make Vergil's steps falter for just a moment.

'Man, that kid was weird' That was my first thought when I saw him. Looked like a slightly shorter version of me. I started walking down the stairs to this strange guy standing in my door. "So uh... I guess your either a client or Izaya's assistant?" I looked over to Vergil for what he thought, but as usual, he had a very guarded expression on his face.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Dante. I own this place."

Nero's eyes wandered, somewhat wide, back and forth between Dante and Vergil, surprise written on his face. He never was good at hiding his feelings, except behind a mask of sarcasm, and that... wasn't working so well.
He managed, barely, to keep in the instinctive cry of 'Who the hell are you?', instead swallowing it and replacing it with, "Yeah. Izaya sent me."
The surprised look on the guy in blue's face wasn't lost on him - none of them were expecting it.
But damn; he'd never met anyone as close to him as these two. They looked... well, the two of them looked like twins, and looking at the one in red was like looking in a mirror.
He pulled a packet out of his coat with his 'good' hand. "Sent me to deliver this... half your payment up-front, and the information you requested."

Vergil quickly schooled his face into a neutral and guarded expression, to show emotion in front of an agent of Izaya's would hardly be beneficial. As the similar looking man pulled a packet out of his coat Vergil stepped forward to retrieve it. He gave a quick nod of thanks to Nero before he took the packet over to the desk. He hardly doubted that this was coincidence, Izaya had likely planned to send Nero for the very reason of the young man's similarity to Dante and himself. Especially considering that Izaya had more than enough minions he could get to play courier. "How did you come to be in debt to Izaya?" He asked with little expression in his tone as he turned to face Nero after depositing the packet on the desk.

"That's a good question actually." I look over at Nero before wandering over to the packet to look at how much we'd be getting for now. Enough money to get food and some other things, awesome! I put the money back down and turn to Nero, so yeah, how'd you get in debt to that weirdo?"

He almost told them both to shove it, but he swallowed that retort. It was possible that Izaya had sent him here for a reason - pretty damn likely's more like, really. Besides, if he pissed off Izaya's contacts, he'd probably get another month or so added on.
"Looking for answers, same as everyone," he answered vaguely. "What's it to you?"

Vergil's carefully neutral expression did not alter itself one whit nor did he change how he was standing, the only real sign that he felt anything was the way his eyes watched Nero with a coldly analytic expression. Someone who knew him well enough, such as Dante, would probably realize that this was a sign that Vergil was feeling unsettled at the very least. "It would help to figure out why Izaya sent you here. I doubt it's just for the reason that you look similar to us." Vergil's voice took on a tone that was dark with suspicion with the last sentence. Even for a half demon it was wise to be wary of Izaya's motives.

He shrugged. "Dunno. He probably sent me to deliver that envelope?"
Then he bit down on the sarcasm. Like he thought earlier, these guys were Izaya's clients, or hirees, or whatever - piss them off, he gets more time. "He's digging up some stuff on my family. Could be he sent me here to find out what you know... it's not like I ever know what he's thinking."
Nero sighed, leaning back against a wall, crossing his left arm over his cast.

"Sorry kid, but I'm prettttty sure we don't know anything about your family. Unless you are a long lost cousin or related to someone we've had dealings with but yeah, we don't know shit, sorry." I looked over at Vergil and saw the look on his face. Can't say I blame him for feeling that way, I felt on edge as well, but I gotta manage it the best I can, for now at least.
"Anyways, I think that's all, unless you can think of something Vergil? If not then guess you'll be on your way?"

Vergil shook his head to show that he had no further questions and instead turned to the envelope sitting on the desk. Immediately he began to go through it, examining what information they had for the job at hand. Hopefully it would be fairly simple but there was no guarantees and it often turned out to be more complicated than stated.

I turned and began walking towards my stairs. "Adios kid!" Just before I reached the stairwell however, with my luck exactly, the room began to distort. "Mother f-" A loud noise cut off my sentence and I walked over to my weapon case, pulling out my two favorite guns, Ebony and Ivory." This is the second time this has happened, what the hell? Nothing better be destroyed after this!"

Nero's cast began to glow, pulsing with a weird blue light. He swore, his left hand reaching up to draw the sword from his back, eyes focusing on the door.
"Get ready!" he growled, clenching the fist suspended in the cast.

Vergil had moved to sit down at the desk so that he could begin to go through the papers when, as luck would have it, the room began to distort with the telltale signs of a crossing. Annoyance caused the half-devil to narrow his eyes as he deposited the envelope on the desk and quickly crossed the room to where Yamato was safely stored. As he pulled the katana from its sheath he couldn't help but feel a thrill go up his spine, there were few places other than battle where Vergil absolutely thrived.

I need to find a way to keep this from happening because I think this is gonna turn into one bad habit for these demons. I couldn't keep a growl down and shot down two demons coming through the portal.
I looked over at my twin. He had been to the otherworld, he has been around demons and initiated a crossing before... "Hey Verg, any ideas how to keep this BS from happening, I don't want this to be a normal occurance, y'know?"
