Curiosity Meets Wanderer (N/Yeul)

[N]

I nod, and start leading her. "Of course! Sounds like fun." The only thing worse than being lost was being lost alone. So, at least I made a friend today. "Yeul. Tell me about yourself. Friends should know about each other."

[Yeul]

"Well..." What was there for her to talk about? Yeul knew not to say too much, but she had to say something at least. What can I tell him...

"I'm new to the city, I grew up really far from here. I um, usually keep to myself so this is a change. Anything you specifically want to know?"

[N]

I shrug. "Anything you want to tell. What do you like to do? What is your home like? Oh! Food!" How could I forget food? "What are your favorite foods?!"

[Yeul]

A small laugh came from her at his excitement, "Hmm my favorite foods? Let's see...truthfully my most is popcorn. I know it might seem a little childish but it's just different to me." Yeul smiled, "What about you?"

[N]

I look off into space to think. "Oh! These.. ray-man noodle things. And I really like... hamburgers? Is that what they're called? There's a lot of good foods!" I smile like a child would, with eyes just as bright.

[Yeul]

He's very innocent, isn't he?

Yes, but I don't mind.

And she didn't, N was a very nice person. Yeul nodded, "Yes there are. I'm not even sure if it's possible to know them all." She thought about something else, "I saw you with that rat back there. You like animals, don't you?"

[N]

I give a few hard nods. "I love animals! They're all I had as a kid. That rat was such a grateful little guy... Him and his buddies. I can still hear them thanking me all the way over here." I let myself chuckle a little, feeling quite proud of myself.

[Yeul]

"Hear them?" So he can grow plants and talk to animals then? She hadn't ever heard of the ability before, then again it seemed impossible to place every one."I see. I'm glad you could help them out."

[N]

I smile at Yeul. "Of course I am, too. I like helping animals. And people, too. People... are just a little more confusing." I give a light chuckle and look down at my feet. "I've only been in this town a few days, but it's weird... I've learned so much, you know?"

[Yeul]

Yeul nodded, "It's amazing how much you can overlook too. Even the smallest things can mean everything. There's just so much in this world..." She realized she was rambling and giggled, "My point is that as long as you keep your eyes open you can learn whatever you want."

[N]

"Really?" I ask. I open my eyes really wide with my fingers. They started drying out with the chilled air, so they forced shut, and I had to blink the moisture back in. "I... think I learned that I need to blink. Is that what you meant?" I ask with a laugh, blinking a few more times.

[Yeul]

She laughed, "Something like that. But it's a good idea to blink once in a while." Yeul smiled at N, "You won't miss anything if you do."

[N]

I nod. "Okay. Good idea, then." I had a feeling that there was more depth to what Yeul had just said. But I couldn't really think of anything. I look around the alleyway. "Anything looking familiar...?

[Yeul]

She too looked around and then nodded in one direction, "I remember the graffiti from that wall. So we must be closer to an exit."

[N]

I nod and take her arm. "Then let's go this way." As we passed, I had to stop and look at the graffiti. It almost put me in a hypnotic trance. It was a skull, with many tribal-looking patterns behind it. It wasn't the most... cheery thing. But it seemed to captivate me. It swirled many emotions in my chest. "Yeul... what is this..?"
