I had just finished my shopping when the store around me began to warp and twist into something like a butcher shop.
I drop my groceries on the ground.
"Here we go again."
I pull out Soul Eater and looked around for any bystanders...

Jazz had been attempting to haggle her way down on some crackers when she heard something made her skin crawl. The sound of the world being ripped open, she's only heard that sound three times before.
It was what her Doctor called a crossing... And she hopes someone stops this one before it killed someone. She quickly abandons her food to rush out of All-Mart. What she sees makes her time in the hospital seem like a cake walk. Holding her breath she keeps back a scream as she watches the scene unfold.

The demons kept rushing at me but I was managing to beat them back when I saw someone approach.
"Stay back! It's not safe here!"

Her gaze snaps in the direction of a voice, "OH MY GAWD!" Someone was fighting them... The monsters... Somehow, this seriously scared her.

A bird, cawing, a crow flew by the two people before it perched itself on the shelf. Seconds later someone appeared behind one of the shelves, carrying a 12 gauge shotgun. He aimed at one of the creatures running to Haku and shot it, demon going down like a flies.
"New torments I behold, and new tormented
Around me, whichsoever way I move,
And whichsoever way I turn, and gaze."
The man, Eric Draven, recited as he shot more demons. "Dante Alighieri, The Divine Comedy."

Jazz snaps back into reality. Her mind working fast and she knows there is only one thing she can do. Get away! As far away as she possibly could. Her feet dragging her back the way she came, her heart pounding from fear. She hopes none of the others will try to get close to her... She wasn't in the crossing per say... But she could still see it, still hear it.

Eric's shotgun clicked a few times, he looked at it and turned to Riku, "Out of ammo."
He threw his shotgun at a demon, distracting him before he punched it in the head. Finishing it by stomping his foot on the head.
"The young lady isn't doing well, perhaps her safety should be your first priority?"

Jazz had managed to scramble a good distance away, her normal and human senses telling her she's crazy, but her slightly above normal eyes and ears are telling her otherwise. Although she's far enough away that any of the outermost parts won't effect her, she could still shout to the ones fighting, "Never mind me! Protect yourselves!" She is human after all, so the Otherworld will not harm her head on it seems.
