"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
Utau was spinning in the leather chair of Izaya's office when he stepped in, she didn't even stop to acknowledge him, just kept spinning before eventually stopping and raising a hand to her head. "Oh! Hello there!" She said with a grin.

See, it wasn't Izaya that walked into Izaya's office. It was an adorable Goth girl who went by the alias "Kanra."
She smiled, flicking a strand of black hair away from her brown eyes, smirking slightly.
"Um, hello?" Izaya - or, rather, Kanra - asked. "Excuse me, but... what are you doing in my chair? Do I know you?"
Of course, Izaya knew who she was - but there was no way for "Kanra" to know that. So... best to play innocent, hmmm?

"Well, I'm spinning of course! And you do know me! You just don't know that you know, silly!" She gave a few more spins before eventually stopping and tucking her legs up onto the seat as well as if she was curled up into a ball. "So! How are you?!" She asked, as if greeting an old friend whom she'd known for years.

She scrunched her brows, , standing in a stereotypically 'cute' way, finger to mouth and everything as if trying to remember.
"How does that work?" she asked, huddling a little closer into the black coat she wore, her black plaid 'schoolgirl' skirt swishing side-to-side as she swayed in place. "If I know you, how could I not know I know you?" She thought... then blinked. "Wait.... are you.... could it be.... Kyuu-chan?!" She gasped. "Oh my god, it is you, isn't it?!"

"It could be me!" Utau said with a small giggle "Just like you could be Kanra! Is it not perfectly possible that you could be someone else entirely?" She grinned over her knees as she pulled them closer to her chest.
This one is slippery, Utau. We should be careful
She already knew that, and told Koibito as much.
If you guarantee that you know what you're doing, my love.
She returned the sentiment before looking across again at 'Kanra'. Her eyes locked directly onto hers. "But you never answered my question! How've ya' been!"

Kanra rushed around the desk, jumping on Utau and grinning. "Kyuu-chan! It is you!" She laughed. "You came to visit me~? Awww, you're the best, Kyuu-chan~~ I've been good, but it's just sooooo boringggg. All this stuff is happening, but not to me! It's terrible!"

Utau smiled slightly as she gently pushed Kanra away before speaking "I know of all the horrible things happening, Kanra, that is why I'm here! My... Brothers, are in the middle of all this mess and I'm here to try and sort them out!" She grinned across before standing up and brushing down her skirt. "What sort of sister would I be if I didn't keep my brothers in line, huh?! But now I have a question for you Kanra!"

She giggled, sitting on the corner of the desk and giving Utau a sideways glance.
"Heehee, so I was right. You were being a trickster, hmmm? Oh-kies, what's the question?" She swung her legs a little bit in excitement.
Izaya loved being 'Kanra'. She was such a wonderful personality, really - and so many people underestimated her.
He/She silently wondered - would Kyuu-chan do the same?
Kanra and Izaya - both rather thought not.

"Well, like I said, I was here looking for my brothers! But I have no idea where to find them!"
Utau's brain was working in overdrive, piecing together the facts that she could find, attempting to come to a solid conclusion. Currently she had established one thing, Kanra wasn't who she said she was. Koibito thankfully offered some of this information as well, her demonic senses picking up a few things that she had missed.
"So I can here for information! And that's where my question comes in, what are you doing in Izaya Oriharas office, Kanra?"
She grinned, she hadn't come here looking for Kanra, she had come to buy information from Orihara, and yet here she finds the young Kanra? It hadn't taken her long to put two and two together.

She giggled.
"Because I'm Iza-kun's little sister, of course! Onii-kun's out right now, so he asked me to watch the shop for him. He likes to keep people off-guard, so... we occasionally take turns being Iza-kun." She giggled again, swinging her legs some more.
"Of course, if you have another theory, we'd love to hear it. We hear all kinds of strange theories, Iza-kun and me~"
Izaya admitted, briefly, that he (because he was, genetically, still a he) had miscalculated slightly. He'd learned of Utau's unique abilities, and he'd been sure she'd used them to find Kanra.
Not the first mistake he'd ever made, surely not the last. As much as he liked to pretend, even he didn't know everything.
And even those as old as he could make errors. But it was time to correct them.
Besides, Kanra thought to herself, giggling again, this was more fun than she/he'd had in a long, long time.

This doesn't add up, my love, in the chat, Kanra referred to herself as a demon in an admittedly joking manner, but the coincidence is there, all the same.
Utau agreed, she found it odd that Kanra just happens to be the sister of the man she was looking for. Sitting back down in the chair she relaxed, a smile spreading across her face as she thought of her next few moves. "Well, I suppose I should just wait until your brother gets back, shouldn't I?"

She senses something is up, Kanra thought to herself, examining Utau remotely. And I sense something inside her...
Izaya had known that Utau was no ordinary person. There were no records of her existence before she suddenly appeared on the map one day, out of the blue. He'd been tracking her for a while, and she'd partially eluded even him.
Sending Kanra to check up on her had been a stroke of brilliance, but it had put him in a rather sticky bind.
But his kind were known for laughing madly at those kinds of binds and dancing their ways out of them.
"I guess you could," she replied thoughtfully. "But he might be gone for days, even weeks at a time. I'm nowhere near as good at information hunting as he is, but is there something I could get for you instead, Kyuu-chan? Anything for a friend and all that, heehee!" She leaped off the desk, spinning around, giggling as she back up to lean against one of the bookcases that lined the wall.

Another convenience, her 'brother' just so happens to be out of time when we need him.
Once more, Utau silently agreed with what Koibito. She weighed up her options in her mind, she'd expected Kanra to tell her that Izaya would be out of town for a while, she could counter with telling her that his business is not the sort where he's gone for days or weeks at a time. But she'd just inform her that apparently herself and Izaya shared the title of information-broker.
Thankfully, as always she was thinking a few moves ahead and had anticipated such a reaction. Standing up, she simply shook her head "Sorry, Kanra!" She said with a small smile "I heard that your brothers the best, and I need the best unfortunately!" She shrugged as she moved around the desk towards the door. "I guess I should just go on my own devices until he returns!"

Trying to force me to move, then. If I want her business, I'll reveal myself... she likes to think she's thinking ahead of me, but she doesn't understand the nature of this game...
Kanra shrugged.
"Well, if that's the case, I suppose it's your loss. I'm sure Iza-kun will be back soon - maybe next time, you'll get to meet him in person, hm? In the meantime, it's nice meeting you, Kyuu-chan! Maybe we should hang out sometime?" She grinned, skipping over to where Utau was leaving and grabbed her arm. "After all, we're kindred spirits, you and me! Seekers of information, hunters of truth! Right?" She winked at Utau, twirling away in Izaya's spacious office, grinning madly as she skipped backwards. "We could go out for ice cream!"

Utau giggled at Kanra's antics as she moved towards the door. She had no doubt that Kanra wanted to get closer to her simply to understand her more, Utau had caught her off-guard and apparently they both knew it. She wouldn't grant her the opportunity to learn more about her, let her and her 'brother' sweat it out a bit. She had ways of hiding herself from staring eyes, thanks to Koibito
I see... An effective plan, my love
"Well, I'd love to hang out sometime, Kanra... But maybe after I've sorted this out with my brothers? Besides, I'm not a very big fan on ice-cream! I haven't got a massive sweet tooth!"
Sweet foods were always more Fukushu's enjoyment
Koibito whispered with a sigh.
