Jaden probably did need help, but without answering, he took roughly three minutes to stand on his own, wobbling to the left and then to the right, before slamming his foot on the ground and demanding stability from his legs. He gives a nervous laugh, slinging his arm over Riku's shoulder. "It takes an hour or so after standing until I'm really good. I'll be fine, promise." Jaden assures him before he has the chance to ask. "Can we leave then? I'm sick of the smell of this place."

"Sure, I'm getting sick from all the antiseptic myself."
I let Jaden lean on me as we exited.
"Before you ask no I don't have a car I have a better way to travel."
I open my free hand and create a dark portal.
"It might be a bit rough for your first time but nothing bad will happen to you I promise. So where to first?"

Jaden's stomach rumbles a little bit at the mention of going somewhere. He'd been being fed through an IV for three days. No matter how much it happened, Jaden wasn't too fond of not eating. So he says only, "food" and stares at the corridor. It was much like once, when he had to talk to Yubel, and she created something like this. It was a mirror, not a portal, but the similarities were striking.
Jaden finds now to be a point to say, "Hey. If we're just playing a friendly rematch... let's not push me over the edge again, okay? I just got out of the hospital. It wouldn't be fun getting back in so soon." He allows himself a soft smile at Riku before nodding ahead.

"Don't worry, I won't. We're pals now right?"
I heard Jaden's stomach start growling and laugh.
"Looks like you've decided. I know someplace called The Veil. Not to ritzy but not low class ether."
Then me and Jaden went through the portal and emerged in front of the restraint.
"Let's go in and see what grub they have on the menu tonight. What ever it is I'll bet it beats hospital food."

Jaden's stomach growls loud in response. "ANYTHING is better than hospital food..." He mumbles. The Veil sounded like a good enough place, anyway, to him. There had been people talking about it in town, and Jaden wasn't going to turn down a good meal.
