Jaden stares a bit in disbelief, face turning pink before he noticed it was happening. "I..." Say something, Jay! You can't just say nothing to that! And now it was his turn to look away. "I... don't really know... what to say..." Not what I meant, Jaden! Jaden sighs. "I get it, Mother..." He says under his breath. "I... think maybe I might like you too, Riku..."

Jaden manages to look at Riku with a pink face. "Y-yeah... I do..." Is all he can stutter out.

My brain shuts down at that moment as I envelop Jaden in the most massive bear hug I man muster without hurting him of course.
"Thanks Jaden." I said as tears began to spill down my face.
"I know this is all sudden but...Would you like to go out with me?"

Jaden was caught a little off guard by the surprise hug. And even moreso by the question....
Come on, Jay. You only have to say one little word. You can do it.
Jaden couldn't tell if she was taunting him or being serious. But he looks at Riku and nods. "Yeah. I'd like that."

I stole a kiss on his cheek before returning to my seat. I felt like I was on cloud nine.

The rest of the meal went by with no problems. Once the tab came up I volunteered to pay for it.
Once it was payed me and Jaden left. And we were holding hands...
