... to those who want to celebrate Namine's 19th birthday with her~ [Candles, Cake, and Compromises] www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiBG6vuLrzY&feature=related--Saturday-- (Dar) Everything is going as planned, the cake is ready except for the candles being lit. The food is out and ready, the punch is mixed, the decorations are up (thanks to Avitidy and Angel, the only reason they're allowed at this party to begin with). Angel is sitting politely at his seat and Avi is cleaning up any spare sparkles that fall down, the doctor seems to a complete clean freak per usual. Now all that's left is to wait for everybody to show up and then for Neku to bring Namine a little later than everyone else... |

From the looks of things, Shizuo was the first to arrive. Kasuka had seen the subtle fliers positioned around town and remembered that Shizuo had previously helped Namine clean up a warehouse for another party, and told him to go and check it out. Or better yet, in his own words 'be social', Shizuo had retorted saying that Kasuka should at least come with him then but according to his cousin, that wasn't 'his territory'.
Of course, when Shizuo Heiwajima drags you to a party, you come to the party.
So here they both stood outside the front door, when Kasuka raised a fist and rapped his knuckled against it in a short little beat before stepping back next to Shizuo and putting on his best smile! Shizuo on the other hand rarely ever smiled save for when he's
a) With Aqua
or
b) During rare instances with Kasuka.
Shizuo wished to god that Tom could have come as well, the more faces he knew properly, the better, but still... He'd have to make do with just his cousin!

If it had not been a party for Namine, then Shiki probably wouldn't have gone. But of course when it came to her friend she was up for mostly everything, this event included. So with that piece of information she'd headed down to Veil that Saturday.
Seeing she wasn't the only one there she waved to Shizuo as she walked up. "Hey." And then noticing someone standing next to him she nodded a hello.

The invitation said to be here of your wanted to celebrate Namine's birthday. I'm not sure what exactly that means, I think a couple of the cubs have them, but I don't think I do, maybe. Anyways, I know Namine as the blondie whom always buys lots of coffee at the cafe so I decided to bring her something seeing how its a celebration. I know she'll like the mint mocha coffee beans I got since the Christmas season is over and we over stocked and the beans will go bad before next season. So I'll give them to her...
I walk into the back of the back of Veil and then frown to myself, I kinda know the people that are here, I think I know the red head. And I've seen the blond haired man around before, Shizuo I think. Either way this doesn't look like a big party like the ones Namine put together, so I'm confused. And where is the coffee drinking blondie anyways?
Hmm...
I walk into the place and then freeze when my nose picks up a foreign scent, but not too foreign. But its weak as if its not really there so I push it away for now...

Red hair pulled back in a pony tail and crystal necklace hanging around his neck, blue eyes glancing around even though he already knows his old team leader isn't present. He knows what he's doing is completely against his mother's orders, but he had to see her again and he doesn't care if the other Lioness notices him. Or if Angel does for that matter. He just wants to say hello after all those years of living in the Otherworld, he wants to project into reality what he's been using as the anchor to humanity.
He sighs and then spots the other LeBeau, he can't help but smirk. She always used to pick on the old friends, but not now... Now he'll be able to get back at her very soon. Pleased, although bored and slightly put out, Zane goes to a table to await the birthday girl.

I smile when Shizuo enters, "Welcome." Then comes Shiki, some chick and some dude. I snort to myself, how many people are gonna show up that I'm not even sure if Namine knows. Whatever, they're probably just here for free food. I give Shiki a wave as I wait for the rest to come in.

A party for Namine, huh? Strange, she hadn't even told me it was her birthday. Still, I showed up. It was her birthday, after all.
I carried a wrapped box in one of those cloth reuseable grocery bags for easier carrying, since it was a relatively large (but light) box, and I couldn't exactly walk here with it floating along in the air beside me.
I looked around to see if there was a table for me to set the bag and box down on, as well as to see if I could spot Namine - she didn't seem to be here yet, so she was probably getting ready.

I wait until I have her attention, "Could I ask you to call Nam and ask her to come here? But don't tell her why, this party is a surprise." I give a nervous laugh at the last part, I really, REALLY want my cousin to like this. I hope she does.

Man, there was so many people around and Shizuo honestly admitted to himself that he was feeling rather awkward, he had never even talked to any of these people! He couldn't even go outside for a cigarette thanks to the fact that if Namine spotted him loitering outside her house, she'd instantly twig onto something being up.
Taking a deep breath, he sighed, before looking across at Kasuka, who was positively thriving in an environment like this! Lucky guy...

Kasuka was stood with a drink in hand, positively weaving his way through people with his best grin plastered on his face. He almost bumped into Kiara before he managed to shift to the side and avoid the contact, years of living with Shizuo had given him damn fine reactions when it comes to dodging things.

Someone almost bumps into me and they give me a kind sorry, I giggle and smile hugely at them, "No, no! Its fine." Beaming still I hold out my hand. "I'm Kiara? You must be a friend of Namine~ Nice to meet cha~."

"That's me." Shiki responded when Darla walked up to her. She listened to her request and then nodded. "Yeah, no problem." And then she walked out of the backroom to the rest of Veil so Namine wouldn't suspect anything with the noise level difference.
Quickly finding her friend's number she waited for her to pick up, "Hey Nami, it's Shiki. Could you come down to Veil please? I need to talk to you.....No, nothing's wrong....Alright....great! I'll be in the backroom okay? See you soon!" Then she hung up and went back inside to the party and letting Darla know that Namine was on her way.
