Howdy!
Right, I recently began reading the Romance of The Three Kingdoms novel by Luo Guanzhong, and found a few things out.
1) The book can be a difficult read at times
2) It lacks detail in certain areas (Battle, character appearance etc)
3) It's overall, not as cool as the media spawned off of it (TV Shows/Movies/Games)
4) It fills in a lot of gaps that said media miss out.
So, I've decided to undertake the biggest writing challenge of my life so far. I'm going to rewrite Romance of The Three Kingdoms chapter by chapter and putting it onto a blog. Now, I won't be adding new parts to the story, nor will I be making drastic changes. When the book basically says there's a battle, I'll go into more detail on said battle, when there's a duel between two characters, I'll add some flourish into what happened and let you see in your head how it unfolds (rather than leaving everything to the imagination), I'll give an explanation of the characters appearance, letting you know what they're wearing etc.
All of this and more.
I'll also be cutting the chapters up a bit, for example, I've put up a 'prologue' right now on the blog, which is actually the start of the first chapter, but explains what actually builds up to the events in the novel.
For those of you who want to track and follow the blog just go to...

PS: I'm using Tumblr because it is, by far, one of the most popular and simplest to use blogging sites. If people really can't stand it, tell me, and I'll set up a secondary blog on another site :')
PPS: For those wondering, ROTK takes place over a period of time somewhere between BC 202 - AD 200+ (200+ because I'm not 100% sure at the moment), and is set in China!
