Backstory: Like some Halfers, he was a slave in the Demon Realm. But he was a smart kid. He waited for a crossing when he was ten years old, and found a way out. The Crossing led him outside of a forest. The forest would be his shelter for two years. He was taken in by a forest people known as the Deku. They were kind to him, like the family he desired for so long. He wanted to truly be one of them...
Which is how he discovered his power. He had asked the Deku, who he called Mama, if she'd like it if he were a Deku. She nodded, as though a confirmation of the pact. He touched her wooden face, and when he took it off, he had a mask like hers. He knew how to use his power. And his "mother" asked that he go off and use this power to stop the Demons who had enslaved him in the first place. The Deku physically cannot smile, but Link could swear that she would have been.
And so he did. In his travels, he lived amongst the Gorons for a small time, and befriended them. He obtained his mask from someone who was more like a brother than anything.
Then he left them and met the Zora. They were very wise people, and knew he was different from the average boy. Their leader, a newly-inducted King, gave him the Mask he carries.
The Fierce Deity Mask... This was gifted to him by a dream. He had dreamed of the very same being from which the mask copied, that told him to go to the city of Urbadelphia.
And eventually, he found it. He is just entering Urbadelphia. (At the beginning of his entry. He has no idea what the place is)
Personality Traits: Link isn't much of a talker. He will talk. It's just preferred that he doesn't. He was raised on his own, fleeing the Demon world when he was very small. He stumbled his way into the world, and discovered his power when he was taken in by the Deku. (See Powers for description) He had always longed to be someone else, something aside from a Halfer. This ability permitted it. Link really is just a kid. He tries to have fun with others, but is rather shy about it. He has never really been around people until he came to Urbadelphia, and has no idea how to react around humans. But he tries to be kind, hoping just to make friends, and do what it takes to stay away from the Demon Realm.
Powers/Abilities: Link has the ability to create masks out of different beings. These beings are not harmed, just replicated in the form of a mask. These masks appear ordinary, but actually have the power to transform him into the beings he created the mask from. It has to be a consensual agreement to create the mask from the being. He has four main masks:
Deku Mask: Taken from a woodling spirit, this mask imbues the power of plants. He can shoot seeds at high speeds, also magic bubbles that sting upon impact. Also, certain plants can be burrowed into, from which he can shoot up and temporarily glide using flower propellers. He can spawn plants like these in certain soils.
Goron Mask: Taken from a race known as the Goron. They are a race that fight with their fists, and have rock-hard bodies. They can actually curl up their body into a ball and roll at high speeds. Advanced members of this race can imbue magic into the roll and create spikes from their body for the duration of the roll.
Zora Mask: This is an aquatic species, that can also remain on land for considerable amounts of time. They can breathe under water and swim at fast speeds. They can also detach the blades on their arms as boomerangs.
Fierce Deity Mask: This mask is used rarely, as a means of last resort. It appears to age his body, and gives him a rather powerful sword. This sword can shoot sharpened blasts of air at the opponent when its long reach doesn't quite matter. His stamina and magic is also very much larger.
There are also two more abilities to mention.
The first is the fabled Ocarina of Time, a demon relic. This ocarina has the power of its songs having different effects. Some can make it rain or shine, others revert time to a previously-stated location. They can also be used to teleport to specific locations. The instrument changes with the mask being worn. The Deku gives wooden bagpipes, the Zora a guitar made of fish bones, and the Goron gives drums. Fierce Deity keeps the Ocarina.
The last power is... something Link has, but refuses to use. It is known as Majora's Mask. This permits an unbelievable power. It can even bring the moon crashing down to Earth. It permits using sound as a weapon as well, using the pitch to stun enemies. He can also create illusions with this mask.
