<—Continued From Here—
The twins enter their semi-small house, lock the door behind them, and head to their respective bedrooms to change into more house-appropriate clothing. Josh returns to the living room and plops himself down on the couch. He picks up a newspaper they had found at their doorstep earlier that morning. Nothing too interesting, he concludes. He sets the paper back on the stand, closes his eyes, and leans back in his seat, thinking about the events that took place before moving here.

Sophie enters the living room in some comfortable PJs. She feels a little embarrassed to be wearing night-time clothing compared to the everyday clothing her brother's wearing. "Want some tea," She asks her twin, who seems to be resting on the couch.

Josh jumps slightly to the sound of Sophie's voice. He was concentrating a little too hard. "—Sure," He responds. He gets up from the couch to join his sister in the kitchen. He grabs the cups and the packets of tea conveniently located in the same cupboard.

Sophie walks toward the stove and grabs the teakettle from the cupboard above, pours some water into it, and places the kettle on the right of two (flame) burners. She walks over to the dining room table and sits. "Josh? Do you really think we'll be better off here? What if trouble follows us here as well? How can we protect the innocent people that live here, from the monsters back at home? We surely couldn't do it all by ourselves. We may be powerful, but we know the consequences of using our auras for too long..." She stopped. She had forgotten that her brother hadn't been taught in any of the elemental magics, and that she would be using her aura more than him. She sighed, and waited for a reply.

Josh sits down across from her. "I don't know, Sophie," he admitted. "I don't know what we'd do, or how we'd do it, but I really wish we could just set it aside and forget about it," he continued, with a slight discomfort on the subject.

"How can you say that, knowing that we'll never forget it," She pressed on. "It haunts me what happened, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's all I've thought about since we got here. — It's heart-wrenching." She felt a little queasy, and could tell Josh felt the same.

"I can't stop thinking about it, either. But I'm trying my best to. I don't want to have to think about it all the time. I wish we could just live a normal life. And even though I know it probably won't happen, I want to try at the very least...!" He looked stern, and sat foward. "I can't not think about what our futures would be like if we stayed back there, and what they'd be like if we had no problems here! And I'd prefer the second option!" He started to shout, but was unsure why he did.

The teakettle had just started to scream, and Sophie instinctively got up to take it off the stove. "Please don't yell. You know how I don't like it when we yell." She turned around and looked at her brother, before continuing toe get two spoons, a pot holder to hold the kettle, and a pot holder to place the kettle on on the table. She returned, and poured some water in both of their cups, then placed the kettle on the table. "I want a normal life, too... But it seems that's never going to happen. Even here, I'm not sure. There's something that feels — different."

"It's because you keep thinking about it!" He really didn't know why he was yelling. He didn't mean to, but there was something 'making' him. "If you'd stop thinking about the past, then you wouldn't feel like something's out to get us here!" He felt right, but couldn't keep the tone of his voice down. He concentrated on his tea; trying not to look at his sister, in case she was death-glaring him.

This time, Sophie raised her voice, "Well maybe if you wouldn't have suggested for us to get out of the house, and go for that walk, we would have never ran into Hekate!" She felt furious that he continued to yell at her, and stared intently at him while he looked at his tea.

Josh immediately looked up at her. "Oh! So now this is my fault?!" He banged a fist on the table, and both cups clattered against the table, almost coming completely off, before resting back in place. "I just thought we could use some time together! Being away working at the bookstore and the Coffee Cup!" (Even though they were right across the street from each other.) He grabbed his cup, gulped down the rest of his tea (causing a tear to form in his right eye, from the burning sensation in his mouth). He got up, cup in hand, walked over to the kitchen sink, and placed it on the counter to the right of the sink.

Sophie stared at Josh as he performed his, obviously irritated, actions. She finished her tea (which had cooled off as she was blowing on it after she'd first poured the cup and placed the tea bag in it). She knew how much Josh cared about her, and he undoubtedly cared for her. But she had not known that he had suggested the idea for them to spend time together. It was true that they had been away from each other whenever they hung out with their friends, or were at work, but even as they were close together at home, or on family trips, it seemed as if they had started to fall away from each other. Tears came to her, but she blinked them away and walked up beside Josh. "I'm sorry... I had no idea," she said as she placed her cup on the counter next to Josh's.

"It's fine," he replied, almost with a heavy-heart. "I'm sorry, too." And with that, Josh went to his bedroom and closed the door softly; and went to bed.

Sophie, unintentionally, followed suit this time. They had not argued like this in a long time. But even then, the following morning, they were back to there old selves again. She was hoping this would be just the same.

Josh tossed and turned while asleep. His dreams were shuffling back and forth.
He was with his sister and Hekate. And Sophie had just been Awakened, She looked like she was born to be, and seemed to have survived without any sort of damage. It was his turn next, and Hekate looked at him.
The dream suddenly became a nightmare.
A creature that had evidently been watching them rushed out of the shadows, along with many others. Hekate tried to fight them off, and urged the twins to run. They did as told, and ran out of the forest, being chased by some of the creatures. They ran to the car they had parked before going for the walk, and drove off.
The dream nightmare shifted, and seemed to replay itself.
His sister had just been Awakened, and it was his turn next. And... It happened! He was successfully Awakened, and felt great! Him and his sister had done it, and were being told by Hekate to go meet The Witch of Endor to be trained in the magic of Air.
He felt like that was what should have happened. But it didn't. He wish it would have, and he knew it would haunt him for as long as he lived. Sure, he had Clarent and was trained to use it by a master, but it didn't feel the same. He continued to sleep, but another nightmare seemed to unfold.
His sister had been captured by the creatures that were chasing them. He tried to help her, but was completely vulnerable, and helpless. One of the creatures tackled him to the ground, and —...
He heard a scream just before he woke up with a jump. He was sweating and shaking. He didn't know what to think except that he had... died at the end of the nightmare.
He attempts to lie back down, and fall asleep. He succeeds, and very surprisingly doesn't have any more nightmares, or dreams about Awakenings and magic and such, for the rest of the night.
