What is about to transpire - as written in Rise and Fall - is about to mess up the timeline even more than it already is.
Don't worry. I've got this under control.
Wht we're about to embark on - the Ascension Saga - is masterminded by Sora Shimomura, AKA Michael Fri, as a post-prelude/epilogue... thing... to his upcoming "City of Vengeance" Arc.
All current threads take place about half a year before all threads written after this point, unless mentioned in the thread that the thread takes place on a previous or interluding timeline.
At the completion of (or sometime during) the Ascension mini-arc, the City of Vengeance arc will be written entirely in flashback.

To the people of Urbadelphia
Here's the story as we, of the Network, know it.
In the past six months, an enemy of Sora Shimomura's collaborated in a prison break at a prison only for dangerous Otherborn, maintained in top-secret by our ever-rival, the CIA; these events triggered a massive Crossing and many Otherborn got involved to stop a potential disaster.
An Alpha was called for the first time in... who knows how long. Long before Alpha was really even the ecognized term. I'd have to look it up, but I'd say WWII.
Anyway, the problem was dealt with - and in the aftermath, something happened. Sora Shimomura took the fall for the Network on some major stuff. Now, the CIA's just looking for an excuse to shut us down and bring us under their leash. The Network's been waking up all across the country, mobilizing in force, under the leadership of their own Heads, to make sure that that doesn't happen.
But one edict has been made perfectly clear:
We cannot help Sora Shimomura.
Sora Shimomura is considered a terrorist and a traitor. Any Otherborn assisting him will be considered the same, and hunted, like he is, as a fugitive by the US Government.
Any wrong move could begin a war between us and everyone else.
Any move that could jeopardize the secrecy of the Network is now the harshest of crimes. Anyone caught executing such actions, anyone caught helping Sora, is no longer a part of the Network, cut off from any support, banned from any of our safehouses and no longer affiliated with us in any way.
I hate this. I hate this. I hate this. But it's the only way that we can survive.
