"I must say, young Itami..." Jack of Blades said as he stood on a bluff above the city, looking down on it with his left hand grasping his right wrist, both arms held in front of him, as if he was just a casual view observer. Two figures stood with him, one was the overcoat illusion-wearing Otar who stood on his equally camouflaged lords right hand side, like all good henchmen. On his left side stood a young man with dark black, almost blue, hair and onyx black eyes. He wore a black cloak with red clouds adorning it and stood with his hands at his side. Itami Kodoku had travelled far to find the Jack of Blades and the power that he promised, and now here he was, about to sell his soul to one of the worst Devil's in the OtherWorld. Jack had invited N and his son Link to join them on this joyous litke trip, but he held little hope of them coming. Two Blades stood behind them, not in their minion forms, they still stank of wet dog. A small smirk spread across his face as the Demon Lord continued.
"I know of the prowess of the Kodoku. Your fathers side were the demons, yes?" He glanced across at Itami with mismatched eyes before continuing, not waiting for an answer. "Your eyes are stunningly sharp, legend states. Well, I could help make those stronger if you're willing to help me?" Itami didn't bow or nod, he was above such honours and gave them only to Rin... Rin... Dammit, what were the odds on the girl being here?
"What power I have is yours. Just don't expect me to carry all the dead weight around here." He scoffed, casting a glance over Urbadelphia, Jack chuckled. "Far from it. You will be respected and rewarded as befits your service."

((First-person as N, and I'm third-personing Link))
Mr. Jack had invited Link and me to the top of this bluff. Apparently something good was happening for us. Link and I had met in town, but neither of us had said anything on the way up here. It felt awkward somehow. I didn't know how to word it. He looked just as depressed as I felt. But he was with his dad again, right? Shouldn't he be happy? But then again, I don't know how I'd feel if Father showed up back into my life...
But at long last, we reach the top. Mr. Jack stood there, accompanied by Mr. Otar, two minions, and a man I've never seen before. His coat seemed to sway in the breeze up here, and his overall presence made me feel... frightened. I look at Link as he speed-walks up to Mr. Jack. He doesn't say anything, he doesn't do anything. He just wedges himself between Otar and Jack and says nothing. I stand roughly ten feet behind them. I hadn't brought my hat today, and the wind took advantage of it to whip my hair to the right repeatedly. "We... We came like you asked, Mr. Jack..."

"Ahhh! Link! N! I didn't think that you'd be joining us!" He gave an uncharacteristically warm smile before motioning to the man who stood beside him, wearing the cloak. "Allow me to introduce to you, a new... Associate of mine. He is from a prominent line of demons, his name is Itami Kodoku, his eyes are most sharp and will no doubt be an asset to our cause..."
As if on cue, Itami glanced over his shoulder at N, who seemed to be observing him. His Sharingan active, the red and black eyes locked onto the boys own. It was the briefest of stares, but in that small instance, all of Itami's power seemed to well forth as if in a display of power. He refused to be a pawn in this Demon Lord's game, and if that was going to be the case, he'd need to assume dominance over the other pieces.

Instantly, in that glare, I began to shiver. I could feel a really bad energy, and it made me feel kind of sick. Looking at Link, he showed no changed reaction, and he was right next to him! Was it some kind of Half-Demon thing? Were they resistant to each other? Or... was I just weak? I give a heavy sigh. Everything about me just seemed... weak lately. I haven't seen Kiara-chan since I joined Jack, either. I take a seat on the ground, criss-crossing my legs to ease my stomach. "N-Nice to... m-meet you, It-tami-kun..."

I give a heavy sigh as the three of us walked. "Alucard, would you please tell me where it is we're going?" I didn't like uphill walks. But flying would lead me ahead. Rin stood to my right, blankly staring off at the forestation to the side. Alucard had not stopped grinning the entire time as he for once led the way.
"Sorry, Reaper, that ain't happening. It's a surprise... More so for me. Let's just say I'm visiting an old friend."
That worried me immediately, but I say no more. Rin had a strange look on her face, even for her. I stare a moment but shrug.
"You two continue up on your own... I'm going ahead." Alucard looked back down at me, tipping his hat up as he revealed those demonic teeth in a grin. He chuckled lightly before almost completely vanishing before my eyes.
A heavy sigh escapes me. There was still a bit to climb, and I couldn't just leave Rin. Goddess only knows what she'd do if left alone...

Alucard now stood beside the sitting N, appearing seemingly out of nowhere. He kept a big smile that showed all of his teeth, his cloak billowing like fire in the wind. His eyes weren't visible beyond the orange glasses he wore, hat tilted back down, head slightly lowered. "Hello, Jack of Blades... My how long it has been..." Surveying the group, he didn't recognize anyone. And the boy next to him reeked of OtherBorn... He takes a few steps aside and notice the cloaked boy's eyes, chuckling. "Looks like the rumors are true... The Kodoku line lives on... Then if that's the truth, then the rumors about Miss Rin Tezuka might also be true, yes...?"
Alucard was egging him on. The Kodoku line was gone, and this was a mere Halfer. He probably couldn't even beat Jack of Blades. Even Alucard could stand on par with Jack, maybe even defeat him. If he had such a desire... But Alucard was an observer...

Jack noted the presence of Alucard and did nought. The two had known each other a long time, and he was one of Jack's favourite pieces from his older games back when he ruled The Void. But it seems that they had both grown in their own right. Jack cast a short look at Itami before turning his head to look at Alucard. He looked no different, and it was obvious by the way that he addressed The Jack that he could see through his disguise. "Well..." Jack started, a small smile spreading across his face. "It seems you are a player within your own right, Alucard." He closed his eyes before opening them a brief moment earlier. "You command your own two pieces now, I see..." He smirked.
His egging worked. Itami spun around, his red eyes flashing as he raised a thin blade, lightning visible dancing around the edges, and pointed it across at Alucard. Jack caught the blade between his forefinger and thumb, before speaking.
"Allow me to introduce Itami Kodoku. You see, Alucard, the full-blooded Kodoku were always powerful... But the bloodlust and battlelust were just too difficult to control." He motioned to Itami with his free hand. "Their Halfers were their strongest warriors, able to access all of their strength at will, and not so easily drawn into battle. Unless of course, in Itami's case, you mention Ms Tezuka..." He let go of Itami's sword and smirked at his ability to read Alucard,the boy lowered the weapon, his red and black eyes focused solely on Alucard. "The boy is weak, for now. He can access his demon blood and he is in a blood contract with the Snake Lords, but when he acquires his true power..." He looked across at Itami. "I have no idea what he'll be capable of." Fear and awe rang in his voice.
"She's here, isn't she." It wasn't a question from Itami, it was a statement. If she was here then their fates were destined to clash...

Alucard listens intently to Jack's explanation of Itami. The Snake Lords, and a Halfer for the Kodoku... What an interesting spot this boy landed up in. He tilts his head up and flashes his teeth in a smile. "And what if she is, squirt? What do you intend to do about it, eh?" Of course, he knew the answer. The answer was arriving up the hill as they spoke...

I gaze upon the folks before me. I didn't recognize any of them. A tall gentleman had his sword to Alucard, another held the sword between his fingers. There was a green-haired man, not too far from my age, and a really old-looking guy. I had ended up carrying Rin up here because she looked tired. But she immediately kicked me to the ground at the sight of the black-haired kid.
"Oof! Ow! Rin!" I yell, spitting dirt from my mouth.
She stared in disbelief at the sight before her. Alucard chuckled, turning to a black-red mist as he re-materialized next to Jack. "Let's see what the last of the Kodoku will do, yes...?" Alucard had this planned from the beginning. He had no real intention of meeting Jack. It was moreso the popcorn to the movie before him.
"I.... Tami. Tami..." She said his name a few times, staring into the red-black of his eyes. She didn't know how to react. She'd never expected to see him here...

Jack relaxed his posture slightly, glancing from his old friend Alucard, across to the new comers, and then to Itami. His eyes narrowed slightly as he considered his next possible action, but each resorted on those of Itami, already the Jack had plans in his head for each and every one of his new companions possible reactions. He stared intently at the young boy as he lowered his blade slightly, his red and black eyes narrowing as he looked at Rin.
"R-Rin..." He muttered lightly, as he closed his eyes before opening them again, they were back to their natural onyx black as he took a shaky step towards his friend and nemesis, and raised his free hand for a moment, he looked almost on the verge of tears... "You're... Here..."

I look at the scene, slightly confused. Rin was from England. Did she know someone using the 'Net or something?
Rin's eyes water along the bottom lid as she takes a step forward. "T-Tami... Yeah. I'm here. I think... I'm everywhere. I'm the World, y'know?" She felt the need to laugh lightly, feeling the shock overwhelm her. She wobbled in her step, nearly falling forward. "I've been... looking for you, Tami..." Her voice trails off upon saying his name once more.

Jack watched intently as the boy took a step forwards and placed a steadying hand on the girls shoulder. A small tear seemed to form in Itami's eye as he spoke.
"I've been... Looking for you too..."
He closed his eyes, that one tear sliding down his cheeks as he smiled. It was a cold, sombre smile, not the sort you'd use to greet an old friend, Jack understood instantly.
"I need to grow stronger." The young boy crossed his arms and frowned at Jack. "And I'm willing to do anything to attain that growth." Jack raised an eyebrow at the boy before him.
"Is that so..? Anything..?"
"Anything."
A bird chirped over head, two birds... Ten... Fifty... One hundred... Two hundred and fifty... One thousand...
"I'm sorry, Rin-chan... I wish you'd understand."
Itami's eyes flashes open again, back to their red and black, his face was lit by a glowing blue sphere in his hand. He thrust it towards his friend.

Rin sighed, closing her eyes and taking a step to the side. I flinched as the man kept coming for me, but the sound of screeching metal caused me to look up. Rin had created an empty cylinder, like a small water tower, to stall his attack. "I know, Tami... But I'm stronger now! I can beat you!" She yells, opening her eyes suddenly. It was something I'd never seen before. They'd turned a foggy grey-blue color. What was she doing? How much was there hidden underneath that spacey exterior? Rin begins glowing a dim gray as metal starts spreading from her nubs, turning into the arms of steel I'd seen a few times. They were robotic-looking, and rather large. Extending her right arm, the palm begins glowing the same dim gray. "And my name is 'Rin.' It's not 'Rin-chan.'" I couldn't fight back a chuckle at her lack of understanding of honorifics. In her hand was now a sword, almost bigger than I was. It was long and thin, kind of like a katana. She grasps it with her other hand as well, before holding it far out to her right, lowering her torso in a sprint. "TAAMIII!"The green-haired kid finally stood up and sprinted next to the green-clad kid in fear. |

Itami bounded away from the cylindrical shape that had blunted his attack in a few steps before swinging his hand to the side, a blade in a similar style to Rin's but somewhat shorter and straighter appeared in his palm. Furrowing his brows he charged ahead to meet the girl, his blade held out behind him as he made took a deep breath.
"Katon; Great Fireball Jutsu!"
He exhaled, a massive sphere of flames bursting out of his mouth and towards his opponent. Itami was straight behind the flames, ready to strike as soon as possible.
