Okay.
Lea here.
Miri and I have both been experiencing this as a pet peeve lately. We admit that.... well, Veil hasn't really been described well from the very beginning, but people seem to keep getting the wrong impression about Veil.
Veil. Is not. A bar.
Veil HAS a bar. The bar/counter is where food, drinks, etc. are usually ordered, though there is a wait staff for the restaurant section. Veil is a club. Sort of. It's more of a hangout. It does everything.
At the back is the bar/counter, where I usually work. During daylight hours, it's kind of like one of those old-fashioned soda fountains. Evening rolls around, it's more of a bar.
Off to one side is the 'restaurant' area. Waiters circulate and keep peoples' orders going around. It's for people looking for more of a meal.
On the other side, is the dance floor/club area. Veil has DJ nights and karaoke nights. There's always music, always lights. Veil is a noisy place. It's a high-tech place. It's up and coming, new, and most of all, it's a center for Otherborn.
So please try and remember this? Also remember that Urbadelphia's drinking age is 18. The attitude of the wait staff reflects this.
Veil's backroom is reached through the restaurant side. "The Back" refers to the rest of the rooms, not accessible to the general public, including the basement and the second floor.
Veil is lit up from the outside, even at night.
Most of this is likely new information, and Miri apologizes for that. However, much of it is not; hence why this is a pet peeve.
Let me reiterate.
Veil is NOT a bar. It is a high-class, jack-of-all-trades, master-of-all-things, awesome establishment specifically targeted to appeal to the Other crowd.
Thank you.
