Tap. Tap. Tap.
The cane clacked its way inside the shop, the owner not bothering to look around as it felt its way for her. Despite her disability, she moved with poise and grace across the shop until she reached the counter.
"Excuse me," she said, just loudly enough to be heard over the chatter. She addressed the person working behind the counter, 'looking' as close to their general direction as she could manage by the sound of their work. There was no line; everyone seemed to be seated calmly. Hopefully she could get some help. "Does someone called..." She felt the card she held in her free hand, imprinted with Braille lettering. "....Kiara... work here...?"

Humming to myself and whipping my tail back and forth, I turn to see a lady at the counter. My ears twitch up and I giggle. Then, since I can reach the counter now, I lean onto the counter top and purr deeply, "That would be me, Miss... How can I help ya?"

Her expression became uncertain for a moment, hand still running over the printed surface of the card.
"I was told to ask for your help," she replied. "THe man who used to own this shop sent me... I'm afraid my request is rather odd..."

"Naw, the only odd thing in here is the boy whom comes in decked out like a pink and purple bunny, every day, and insists we serve him vanilla chai with peppermint melted in~" Giggling I lean in closer, head cocking to the side and my mane of hair tumbles a bit and sways. "Ask away hon."

She nodded. "Alright," she said. "I... I need to visit your storeroom," she said. "My... the man who sent me said that he left some things there that he wishes me to retrieve... if it isn't too much trouble. He told me to ask for you specifically; have you been working here long?" She smiled faintly, still staring blankly ahead into the darkness.

"Alright! If its for the old owner... Let me just go and get the key~" I turn to skip off. "Alright?"

She nodded. "I'll wait for you," she promised, standing at ease at the counter. Something was strange about the person she was speaking to, she was sure, though her talent wasn't giving her any more than that.

Skipping off I go and retrieve the key, upon return I giggle, "Soooooo what are we lookin' for?" My tail swishes a few times. "Because, ya know, I can't leave you back there along, against the rules~."

That sound... what was it?
"He gave me instructions to show you when I found it," she told the girl, turning her head in the direction of her voice. "But it's... also somewhat secret. I'm sorry. He's a very private man; it's unlikely the new owners een realize that what I'm looking for is even there... please, show me the way, and I can explain when we get there." She disliked this, to be honest. There were too many things that could go wrong. But she trusted this person, and her Sensei did as well. That counted for something. Besides, she was intrigued by the.... girl? Woman? The voice was difficult to tell.

"Hmmm... Fine, I respect that," Purring I go to the side of the counter in which we employees enter at. "Come on around here... We gotta go to the back~!" Waiting I lift the divider, smiling all the while.

Lilly stepped forward, trying to make absolute sure of her footing. The cane explored one side, then the other, finding the limits of the entryway so that Lilly could make her way through it. She smiled briefly in the direction of Kiara's voice, nodding her thanks. "I appreciate your taking the time to help me," she told the voice.

"Ah, wait, please?" Lilly called after her, feeling uncomfortable at having to ask her helper to slow down. In more familiar territory, she would likely have been just as quick, but she didn't know this place, and the girl's footsteps were echoing strangely from the walls, keeping her from tracking her location as efficiently as she would normally be able. "I'm not really familiar with this place..."

She blushed slightly. "The echoes are strange, here. I can't quite tell where you're going until I get used to it, is all...." She tapped her cane against the ground as if to make her point, the simple clack throwing echoes down the empty back hall to her sensitive ears. It wasn't the simple echo of a simple empty hall, either... it was... off, somehow. But how, she couldn't quite describe. Indeed, though she didn't know it, she was actually speaking somewhat to Kiara's left.
