When you hear those words you'll either duck and cover or praise and cheer, for we now sit down with Jordan Coles who created one of the most iconic characters on this site: Shizuo Heiwajima.
We will discuss his rping history, his characters, and his plans for the site.

Q: Hello Jordan, thank you for sitting down with us.
A: No problem!
Q: Lets start with your history, how long have you been roleplaying?
A: It's been a while! I started on a site called 'DeStRes' about four years ago, or so? And then I was on a few forum based-RP's for a good year or so. So I'd say at least five years!
Q: DeStRes, as I recall, was a zombie post-apocalyptic world, how did you become a part of that?
A: That it was! A friend of mine was on the board, and he suggested it to me. It was really intimidating at first, I'd never partaken in an RP that occupied a forum all on it's own, so I was pretty nervous!
Q: DeStRes was also managed by two sisters who never really rped before, so you were in the same boat. But lets get real, I personally believe your best stuff never came to light till Crepusculum Regnum.
A: Oh that is definitely true! Whereas DeStRes was based in a modern world, CR was set in a fantasy world, which admittedly is my complete and utter element!
Q: You have quite the background in forums, from DeStRes to Crespusculum Regnum, but we shouldn't forget to talk about Otherborn of course. With in that case, what ended you up here?
A: I can't quite remember what I was doing at the time, but I was talking to Miri and she mentioned Otherborn... I feel horrible for not remembering, but I'm not sure if Miri either asked me if I wanted to get involved, or if I just pestered her into letting me get involved!
Q: Or both. Knowing our Head pretty well, in either case here you are. You made waves with your first character to: handling one of DuRaRaRa's iconic characters: Shizuo Heiwajima. So, why Shizuo?
A: Shizuo actually wasn't my first character! I originally made the character Alcatraz from Crysis 2, but it was really difficult balancing a character who doesn't blend in to well... So I decided to make Shizuo, and later deleted Alcatraz all together. Umm, I think I made Shizuo because it was a step away from my usual character. I'd always chosen characters who were really tactical and thought out there plans, relying on speed and intellect rather than aggression.
Shizuo is the complete and polar opposite! He's a rough and powerful character who answers every issue he has with his fists. Berserker's are normally the bane of my life, I knew I'd have fun with Shizuo, but I never thought I'd have this much fun with him!
Q: Right, I remember Alcatraz now. Shows you how well Shizuo ended up, actually, it just made me notice that this isn't the first time your second character became your most iconic!
A: Haha! Roxaaaaaa~!
Q: Shizuo is of course not your only character, if I am correct you are also the players of Roxas, Jack of Blades, and Kyoshiro. Out of these four characters, which one is the most fun to play and which one is the most interesting to play?
A: Jack is easily the most fun to play, without a doubt. He's the first time that I've made a villain that has absolutely no chances of becoming a good guy! *Cough*RoxaAgain*Cough* He's had a tough time and a crappy life, but it's twisted him in a way that he'll always be that same villain, he'll help the good guys if it means he gets to save the world, but only because it means he can plague it some more.
The most interesting on the other hand has to be Roxas. Namely because I managed to take Roxa from CR, and throw him into OB in a completely legit way, and thanks to that I've been able to create three awesome and matching NPC's with him, in order to make a character that whilst based on Roxa from CR, is completely unique in his own sense!
Q: On the subject of characters, are there any particular moments of your characters on OB you would want different? A character choice here or there you would change? A pairing?
A: Hmm... In all honesty..? No! I'm really quite happy with the choices that my characters have made, there's nothing that I really regret nor nothing I would change! The pairings that my characters are involved in really compliment said characters, so I'm chuffed with how things are!
Q: I completely agree with that last statement, I am referring to of course Aqua and Shizuo. You both play the roles excellently and keep it sweet but realistic, kudos to you and Wresie.
A: Thank you! Shizaqua is one of the best pairings I've ever thrown my two cents into, trying to balance Shizuo being this loving, caring boyfriend as well as a makeshift guardian to Sini and Dori and then on top of that being a berserker? It's so challenging, but then equally fun!
Q: Lets break away for a bit and talk about the new saga: Ascension. The story takes place after the yet to be released City of Vengeance, as we know so far we are told an 'incident' happened that caused Sora to save the Network by making himself look like a criminal. Six months pass and Ascension begins, yet when we first see Shizuo he seems very disconnected with the events. What's going on with Shizuo? What can we expect of him? What of Jake of Blades?
A: Shizuo at the end of the day just wants a normal life! He was never huge friends with Sora so he's not exactly giving much attention to what's going on with him at the moment, so at first he's just trying to keep his noses out of it. But as shown in the second thread of Ascension, Shizuo's having a really rough time thanks to the anniversary for the death of his parents coming up shortly, so he's in a really bad mood, and if demons are going to start popping up, he's just going to want to pound everything in his way into dust! Plus if Aqua gets involved with it all, Shizuo's no doubt going to tag along to make sure she's safe...
As for Jack..? Well, the demons are clearly active and on the mood, he's recruited all the power he needs to his side... He's seeing this as the perfect opportunity for him to make his move on The Void, his old home. Of course, he still wants Earth as a personal little playground! So once he's got his home back... Expect him to come back to Earth en masse with all his power behind him to help the Network!
Q: Well I think I got all my questions answered, thank you for the excellent interview. Any comments or things you want to throw out before we conclude this session?
A: Dragon versus Dragon. It will happen. That's all I want to say!
