While the Otherborn share only a very loose organization, those who do associate and affiliate with each other follow self-chosen leaders, whose duty it is to coordinate attacks on demons, watch for new Otherborn, and train those new recruits to defend themselves from the Otherworld beings who would destroy them.
These leaders call themselves "The Watchers", and they fall into three categories:
Watchers - These are technically the highest-ranking, though they mostly work with the lower ranks, rather than presiding over them. Largely independent, Watchers do much of the legwork, seeking out new Otherborn and demons and leading raids on high-profile targets.
Coordinators - These Watchers are second-tier, and they oversee much of the day-to-day organization of the loosely affiliated Otherborn. They keep the food dumps and shelters stocked and are responsible for contacting and organizing Otherborn for raids.
Contacts - These are third-tier Watchers, mostly average Otherborn with a direct line to the top-tier Watchers for letting them know when something big is going down. They're also the middle-men between the average Otherborn and the Coordinators and Watchers - hence the name "Contacts".
The leader of the Watchers is Neku Sakuraba, a reluctant youth who would feel more comfortable on the sidelines, away from people; however, should trouble arise, you should expect to see him as first on the scene.
((Note - Watchers in-game are distinct from the admins, also called Watchers. Becoming a Watcher in-game does not mean you will become an admin; likewise, not all admin characters are actually Watchers.))
